I'm sort of of the opinion right now that it would take a very special color scheme for it to work on. Like if you had an XYZ sort of like this

I dunno. I feel like a lot of the tert colors with okapi just look kind of like big color blotches and it's hard to see any sort of difference in the stripes vs the shading color, y'know?

It's not a bad gene, but I think it could've been better. Like crackle it'll just be hit or miss.

Lupen Yeah, that was one of my bigger thoughts on it too. It should be less of a "new color splotch" and more of an addition to the color itself. It almost feels like more of an accent to me.

It's definitely a hit or miss kind of gene, but when it looks good it can look really good!
I scried every dragon in my lair to see what it would look like. I found a few who looked okay with it, and one Coatl boy who absolutely needs it. :)

Wow, yeah (had no idea what an okapi looked like) - it would have looked infinitely better if the stripes had been in the primary colour, it would have blended so much better that way.
