@meiraven

I know of two that are in the making! Artifracture, which is like Bejeweled, and a game involving the Courier Dragons, Edgar, Pearl and Spitfire. I'm not too sure what the latter is based off of. If anybody could link the newspost where it was mentioned?

--

And a question, so this doesn't get deleted! Why does the auction house not work like an auction?
I'm super happy with the Q&A format. This is great. Will FR ever do a premium currency sale, where gems are cheaper than the regular $1:100 (+ bonus)?
Glad that you're happy with the format change! We thought it would be beneficial for the community to have clearer expectations and a cleaner thread to read through. As for your question, it's always possible that we may have sales here and there, but there aren't any plans for it. [br][br]
Any plans for a second Crowdfunding project?
We thought our initial Kickstarter went great, and we're really thankful programs like that exist to help projects get up and running. We have no plans at this time for another Kickstarter. [br][br]
Any plans for physical swag? Plushies, shirts, mousepads, etc.
We're always discussing merchandise options and ideas on the team! However, creating, maintaining, and shipping a stock of physical merchandise is no small undertaking; we would rather focus our efforts on the site itself at this time. [br][br]
Is there a reason the Coliseum Venues part of the Encyclopedia is being updated in highest-lowest order? This seems counterintuitive to me, since it seems like players would have more lower-level than higher-level dragons. Are you assuming players can intuit the drops from venues they've already been in and want to give them a preview of higher venues?
When the Coliseum first launched (aka, when the site launched), the enemies and venues available used a lot of loot that was shared across various places on the site, leading to some imbalance. We are working our way through venues to make a lot of the loot only obtainable from defeating enemies there; this increases the value and uniqueness of Coliseum items. The reason that our articles are coming out in a reverse order is because our newer venues are already built with this balancing in mind, and the information about loot drops in their articles is already accurate. Since the older venues are going to be receiving balance treatment as well, we will likely wait to publish their corresponding articles so that we're not simply rewriting an article when those changes go through. [br][br]
What is the name of the Mirror who runs the festival shop?
Joxar! [br][br]
What's the criteria for judging skin contests? We take into account the skill of the art, how close they come to the Flight Rising art style, how closely they adhere to the theme of the holiday, whether or not they follow the skin rules and guidelines, how many of that breed/gender combo there are among the winners, and how creative they are. [br][br]
I've always been curious about this. When you put a dragon or item in the AH and it sells, why is there a fee? These are then collected by our Community Manager and brought up in staff discussions. [br][br]
are there plans, either in the far or relatively near future, for site-wide plots?
Our last major story/plot addition was Beastclans on the Rise, where we introduced some exciting new lore that moved the Flight Rising story forward. The questions that have thus far been passed over, is there any plans to note down which ones will be answered at a later date, or which ones will not be answered at all?

And if a question is passed over, should we repost it in hopes it will be answered the following week, or should we just let it sit there until it is answered?

---

I've seen floating around the forums and tumblr a few comments about how users familiar with a bit of coding are assuming the bugs in the coliseum might be attributed to a couple of very minor issues that would require very tiny fixes.

For example, when you kill an enemy down to /exactly/ zero HP, eliminate does not refund breath, which a couple of people have theorized happens because the code is looking for a monster's HP to be /less than/ zero, not /less than or equals to/ zero.

Has a programmer checked to see if those little tiny bugs are the cause, and if so, what was the finding on that?

Because if those tiny little things are indeed the issue, it'd be really frustrating that they have not been fixed yet. And if the issue is something else and those things HAVE been checked, it'd be equally helpful to know that it's a different issue so that we don't keep assuming that it's a tiny little bug that hasn't been fixed.

---

On a related note I just kinda thought of, how is Akiri doing, recovery-wise? I've seen him posting about the site more often which makes me think he's feeling a lot better, or at least on the road to feeling better!

Whenever suggestions to decrease the amount of time and clicking that goes into bonding with familiars (such as a "bond all" button) are made, the response from players is that it will never happen because it would decrease ad revenue from refreshed pages.

Is this something staff has actually said or is it community conjecture? If the latter, is there any consideration to making bonding with familiars easier or less time-consuming taking place?

Thank you for the response; this forum has definitely answered some of my questions and I appreciate the effort to communicate more!

@Aequorin - Wonderful to see how well this new format is working. The level of engagement and feedback is very reassuring!

With regards Festival skins - do the staff keep, and check, a full list of past winners before they select the new ones?

I've just sat, gone through the lists, and tallied up all the previous winners and there are some noticeable differences in which breeds/genders seem to be preferred. It's notable that certain breeds have less than half the numbers of skins/accents as others.
For example there are only 3 Snapper males and Spiral Females represented (temporarily ignoring Nocturnes as they've only seen one festival). Tundra females and Imperial males are almost as badly off with only 5 each.
On the other hand Guardian females, Ridgeback males, Spiral males, Snapper females and Skydancer females all have 10 appearances each, with Ridgeback females coming close in behind with 9.
It seems, perhaps, to be a little unbalanced. I know part of that is down to the skins users decide to submit to the contest, but perhaps more weight should be given to keeping breeds/genders evenly represented in future?

Also is there any chance that the staff could ensure that the breed associated with a Flight is represented in their holiday skins/accents?. I know there was quite a lot of upset in Earth that we didn't get anything for our beloved Snappers in the most recent Rockbreakers Ceremony, and I believe our fellows in Arcane were likewise upset at the lack of Fae for the Starfall Celebration.

Will we ever get the Skydancer breed lore, or is it not possible due to them being a Kickstarter-sponsored breed and there potentially being some legalities involved?
