So for people who've been here a while, what did you think the flights were going to be like when you read their description, and how did your expectations match up once you got to know people from various flights?
Having been here slightly over a year I can't say I've gotten to know many people from water, shadow, arcane, nature, ice... well, a lot of flights actually. I should really try harder with that.
So I'll just go one example:
I expected Light to be nerds. I was right. It's nerdtopia in there. You could say that applies to everyone on fr, but that is definitely the bookworm flight.

Well, I did expect Earth to be very friendly and very.. How do you say that? We're one, big, group, no-one gets left behind. Maybe that's because we are the smallest Flight, I don't know, but I love it - that's why I joined in the first place.
I don't know about the other flights though, however I kind of expect Plague to be very mean and Shadow to be sad, but I don't think that's really right xD

I expected Arcane to be-well, i didn't expect anything other than creativity and space, and I got radioactivity, eldritch abominations, portals, and space jam. I'm pretty happy about it!

I haven't encountered many mean people in plague at all... we actually have a pretty strange sense of humor. Do you know about Plagueisweinnies? There are some posts about gore and stuff, but not to much. We're pretty dom oriented. But I dunno. Isn't Macabre in your flight? Macabre used to be our leader in dom stuff and other fun stuff.
I imagine Lightening to be full of slackers... otherwise why is their slogan "Get back to work" lol!

When I first joined as Earth I expected it to be an unpopular/underdog flight with not many people, and I was kind of right! It IS one of the smallest flights.
Other than that, I'm not really sure what my first impressions were...
