I have a few I dont really like (speck, freck etc).. but can anyone say that gembond looks good on anything? And those poor dragons who end up with really pretty primary and secondary colours and then get stuck with a gross gembond colour so it looks like poop or snot?

My most disliked gene has got to be crackle. But even that one has it's uses.

Asimina you've made it work though with the snow themes.. and yeah, crackles another weird one.. some times it really works, most times it just doesnt.

gembond is probably my least favorite, though it does work in some cases.
I adore freckle and crackle. So my gene projects are always way cheaper than other peoples. :P

I don't really like okapi. It has its uses, but I've yet to see it work better than any other gene a combo could have.

Piebald makes me gag. If I wanted white in a dragon, I would've gotten a dragon with white already. I get that sometimes it can look good, but really, I think most dragons with it look like someone forgot to finish painting them.

As for gene I don't like, I'll definately have to agree with the speckle/freck. I'm pretty open minded about with genes but I've yet to find a dragon actually like with those two ;; It's an immediate turn off for me. It just kinda looks like a jumbled mess?
Despite this I would love for someone to change my mind c:

Most of the genes though, I think, really depend on the color combo and dragon. Crackle can look so beautifully elegant on certain dragons - female Skydancers and Male Imperials especially come to mind. Okapi, I think, looks terrible most of the time but one of my favorite dragons really rocks it. Thylacine also looks pretty bad most of the time but really epic with certain colors (and on male Coatls, have a light Thylacine color on a dark Primary/Secondary is so awesome).
I personally don't like Clown, Bar or Ripple. Or, actually, Paint or Daub, makes them look like cows, imo.
