..Waiting for the colorwheel to come out? I feel like I'm going to have to revamp my whole lair anyway, and sometimes I get disinterested in really investing much in breeding projects, etc.

I'm kinda of the opposite actually. I'm very excited for the color wheel but on the other hand, this are the last few months we'll get with the original 67 colors and I'm happy to enjoy it before the new wheel is released and screws over some of my pairs (since their ranges will flip...).

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
Yes. It might sound a bit strange, as the site hasn't lost any features because of the expansion, but I've been looking forward to it for so long that it's become a bit tiresome for me to breed, acquire, sell, and even train dragons, knowing that the colors they have might be practically obsolete in the future.
I still visit the site daily, though, 'cause I like money.

I'm in that boat with ya...just been kinda milling about until the expansion. I'm planning a huge lair revamp/storyline/headcanon plot thing in which I'll be bring in some new dragons and saying goodbye to some of my current residents. But before I bring in new dragons, I want to wait until all the new colors are released so I don't just bring in a huge selection of new faces only to impulse buy/hatch more because I couldn't wait for colors.

Very very much! New genes coming out don't excite me as much at the moment, cause most of my dragons that aren't 'finished' yet, will get scatterscrolled. So I'll have to wait for tall the butterfly, stained, thylacine, poison, toxin, giraffe, and hex hype until after the colorwheel is expanded. I'm especially looking forward to poison and toxin, because of the seemingly random accent colors! There's really no telling what a certain color may look like with poitox. But because of that, I'll have to wait with applying any genes until the day is finally there!

definitely. a lot of dragons i bought intending to keep have lost their appeal, and there's several colors that i absolutely can't wait for. it's nice to have something to look forward to, but it's frustrating to feel conflicted about buying new dragons/selling old ones until the new colors are released.

Sort of, but I like it. I earn money extremely casually in this game, and I really enjoy gene projects and gen 1's I've managed to finish two whole projects in the few months I've been here, and almost finished a third. I have many more "ideas" for projects, and some dragons awaiting scatterscrolls, which are also going to be on hold till the update.
For anything else, I'm just waiting on the colourwheel update for so many more pretty colours and variety to choose from. But It's kinda nice atm that I can just watch my treasure count grow, so when the colour wheel expansion does happen, I have more money to do things with. Quite refreshing not to have much I'm actively trying to achieve.
