Hey everyone!
We've got super great news to share: the launch of the revamped Auction House is just around the corner! We're conducting final polish and testing on the feature so that it's in really great shape when we finally get it into your hands.
To best prepare you for the change, we wanted to share this preview with you and be on hand to answer questions you might have prior to the launch. The launch date will be clearly communicated to you, with plenty of notice given about when the old Auction House will be shutting down so that you're able to wrap up any final business beforehand.
NOTE: Development of the revamp is pretty much locked at this point, so what you see in this preview is very likely to be the final product, plus or minus a few small changes or adjustments. This thread is only for questions and discussion regarding the functionality of the Auction House; if you have feedback or ideas based on what you see and read, please feel free to throw us a line in the Suggestions forum so we can have them all in one place! Posts that are just suggestions or ideas will likely be removed without notification.
With that being said, let's move onto the good stuff!
The Main Hub
The biggest change that you'll notice upon visiting the Auction House will be that it has a central hub with three large buttons. Mousing over each will give you a bit of information. For simplicity's sake, we'll also include that information here:
Flight-Only Auctions: Buy or list auctions within your own Flight. These auctions will only be available to those who share the same elemental alignment as you.
Realm-Wide Auctions: Buy or list auctions for the entire realm of Sornieth. These auctions will be available to all players.
Private Auctions: Buy private auctions that were listed for you, or choose to list a private auction for another player. Private auctions are only available to the specified buyer and seller.
In addition to the large hub buttons, you'll also notice that we've retained the Buy | Sell | Activity buttons that you're used to. Though there are many changes happening to the Auction House, we opted to keep the layout similar for this area so as not to disrupt some of the flow and muscle memory you've developed!
You may ask: how will I navigate between the various houses without going back to the hub?
To make transitioning as easy as possible, we've added drop-down menus to both the Buy and Sell button. We've been using these buttons in testing and development and think that they feel pretty good.
Buying Auctions
When you visit an Auction House, the most noticeable difference is going to be the layout. Each time we revamp a feature, we try our best to improve the look and feel as much as possible without sacrificing the functionality you're accustomed to.
In this case, we wanted to "break free" from the box-within-box-within-box design of the old system so that everything had a much roomier feel. The search parameters have been moved to an expandable/collapsible container at the top of the page. Once you've input your parameters, it'll close up to allow you more room to view the results, but you can always pop it back open again!
As for searching itself, we have made several expansions and changes where possible. In addition to these changes, we have made it possible to "multi-select" many parameters (where applicable). With the power of multi-selection, you can get an even more refined search!
(Example: When looking for food listings, you could narrow it down to just Insects and Meat only!)
Taking into account as many player suggestions as possible, here is where we're at for search parameters! We've marked each parameter that has multi-select capability.

So, pretty awesome, right? We're very excited for dragon searching in particular. In fact, just to give you a little taste of just how granular you can tailor your search, here's a screenshot to show it in action:
In addition to our much more robust searching system, there are a few other great changes that we feel will make your browsing experience a lot more pleasant.
Firstly, you'll be able to view up to 50 auction listings per page! If you're weary of clicking through multiple pages, this should help.
With more auctions per page, we thought it would also be useful to start organizing them a little better. To that end, we're adding more sorting options.
But that's not all! If you're in the market for a stack of items, but you don't want to do the math in your head to figure out if you're getting a good deal per unit, we've got you covered! Mousing over a listing's price will also give you the breakdown of the price per unit in the stack. If you look at the screenshot above this paragraph, you'll also see that we'll let you sort by unit price, too!
As far as dragon listings are concerned, we've tried to make as much information about the dragon visible as possible, including things like their name, ID number, element, sex, breeding status, and current energy level, in addition to the information in their mouseover tooltip:
Selling Auctions
Not much is changing on the selling front, aside from us tidying up the interface. However, you'll notice that when you are creating a listing, you'll have the choice of which auction house you want the listing to appear in.
If the auction is private, it will ask you to input your buyer's player name:
Private auctions last for 7 days and do not deduct a fee from your profits.
Activity Ledger
Perhaps one of the largest changes in the coming revamp is how you manage your auctions. We are consolidating all of these tools into what we call the Activity Ledger, and it will facilitate your profit collection, expired auctions, current listings, and recent shopping history.
Profits & Sold Auctions
The big one. With the revamp, we are completely divorcing the Auction House from the private messages system. You will no longer receive any messages from the auction house when auctions are successfully sold or if they expire. You won't receive private messages at all.
The Profits page will show you a cumulative total of your recent successful sales and allow you to collect them all as one lump sum. Awesome!
Below the collections area, you'll see a complete readout of your sales, and mousing over each listing's price will allow you to see how much net currency you earned after fees.
Expired Auctions
When your auctions expire, they will be listed on the Expired page of the Activity Ledger. For performance reasons, we will only be able to show you the last 14 days' worth of listings, but we feel this will give you a good chunk of items to interact with.
From this page, you have the option of clearing them out or relisting them, if you wish. A large button at the top allows you to blow away all of your expired auctions, while a smaller button sits beside each listing if you would like to be more selective.
Relisting is easy! Clicking the Relist button will bring up a window that displays the parameters that you originally chose. If you want to try your luck again, you can quickly relist the auction with one click using identical details. If you want to make some changes, you can do that, too.
Current Listings & Recent History
Not a whole lot is changing from the current version of the Auction House on these two pages. The Current Listings page will allow you to manage all of your auctions that have already been posted, and your Recent History page will allow you to view receipts of all your recent sales or purchases, with multiple ways to sort! As with the Expired page, this will show your last two weeks' worth of activity.
Alerts
To round everything out, we're doing something a little different with auction-related alerts. Say that you put up some auctions before going to bed, and you come back a few days later to see how everything did.
You'll be met with only one alert. This alert will collate all of the recent auction activity that occurred between your visits to the site. This allows you to, at a glance, see just how successfully or unsuccessfully your listings performed.
And that's basically it! From this point on we're just putting the final touches of polish on and testing to make sure everything functions correctly before we launch. As for the launch timeline, we still don't have a set date, but here's what we plan to do:
Each step of the way we will be as communicative and forthright about the implementation process as possible so that everyone has the information they need. Our main goal is for there not to be a lot of time between the shuttering of the old Auction House and the opening of the new one, as to not completely disrupt the flow of commerce. Unfortunately, we can't promise that, but it's definitely our goal!
Q&A
We gave a lot of information out, but if you have any functionality questions, want to seek clarification on something listed here, or are confused about something we perhaps didn't cover, please don't hesitate to ask!
Again, we request that any and all suggestions, ideas, or feedback be relegated to our Suggestions forum so that we can keep this thread focused and concise. Please be mindful of posting new suggestions threads, and conduct a quick search to make sure that your topic isn't already posted!
Questions and answers will be listed below. You may also click the small icon in the bottom right corner of this post to jump through all Flight Rising staff responses.
It's a click. :)
It will not be possible to place a listed dragon onto a Coliseum team.
Saved searches aren't a launch feature, but we like the idea very much.
Purchased auctions go directly to your Hoard.
With the release of the Crossroads, we removed a style of transaction in which someone could request currency from someone in exchange for an item/dragon and have it be instantaneous. Right now, you have to go through one extra step to confirm both sides of the trade to have it go through. We took the feedback from these players into account and the private auction house option was created to help fill that void.
No, it will only be possible to set up a Private Auction for a dragon for one person at a time.
At this time, sales receipts do not explicitly state who purchased the listing. So, like the current system.
It collates based on the last time you checked the alert or checked the Activity Ledger. If you clear your alert after every sale, it would ping you again if there was new activity since the last time you cleared the alert.
No, it will not be possible to place the same item/dragon in multiple houses at once.
Not at launch, but it's an idea we may explore.
Unfortunately, "find-as-you-type" functionality will not be a launch feature, but we agree that it would be helpful and it's an idea we want to research.
This is not something we will have at launch, but we will look into it!
The fee structure will remain the same for Realm-Wide and Flight auctions. For Private Auctions, will be locked at 7 days and have no fees.
There will be a thumbnail of the dragon itself, the dragon's ID number and a clickable link to the dragon.
Yes, you will get an alert if someone has listed a private auction for you to review.
This is not something that will be there at launch, but I can see it being potentially useful! We can investigate this possibility.
As of right now you will have to search Realm-Wide and Flight auctions separately.
Unfortunately is not going to be an "exclusion" feature for multi-select at launch. You can simulate exclusion by selecting every other option, but that is a lot of effort. The generation search however does however let you exclude Gen1 dragons already.
There are not concrete plans for a simplified color range selection system but that is something we can investigate.
We are not imposing a hard limit at the moment. If we do add a limit in the future, it will be for performance reasons, and will likely be larger than four.
The Profits tab shows you sold auctions for which the profits have not yet been collected. There is not a limit to the profits tab -- so, you cannot lose profits if you don't collect them immediately! The records of sold auctions in the Recent History tab is however limited to 14 days.
With the revamp, we are reducing AH limbo as much as possible. The goal is to have it be on the order of seconds.
As of right now there is no lock feature for the search parameters.
It will stay the same way you left it with respect to the house (Realm/Flight/Private) and tab (Food/Materials/etc.) you have selected.
Currently because there is a page refresh the scroll will be reset, but we will look into ways to make selling multiples of the same item quicker.
Yes, you will still be able to sort your current listings by expiration date.
If you click the "Auction House" link on the left sidebar of the site, it will ask you to choose between Flight, Realm-Wide and Private. However, you can always bookmark the "Sell" page for Realm-Wide auctions if you wish!
The generation search only lets you filter to 1st gen or 2nd+ gen. As you pointed out, past gen1 it is not necessarily clear what "generation" a dragon belongs to.
The existing messages in your inbox will stay as they are when the new AH is launched. You will not have to collect them before the new AH launches!
We haven't finalized plans at the moment, but we will be looking for other ways to for the courier dragons to be represented on site in the future. :)
The apparel categories will be the same as they are now: Head, Body, Wings, Legs, Tail, Extras & Accents.
Yes, clicking the alert will take you to your Activity Ledger.
We will look into it -- it's possible, but it will likely not be available at launch!
Yes, you will be able to see the total number of current auctions you have in your Activity Ledger.
It uses the approach from the breeding system. If you want the long way around the wheel, that can be accomplished by breaking up one long range into two shorter sub ranges.
At the moment, the plan is that you will have to cancel any pending flight-only auctions before changing flights.
No plans currently, but we've received the question several times throughout the day, so we've definitely made note of it. :)
Nothing is 100% final, but we anticipate there won't be too much more modification before this version launches. If we make any style modifications it'll likely be at a later date.
Yes, the bottom of the opening post (before the Q&A) specifies what we envision our launch process will be. As for relisting items that were canceled in the old system, I'm afraid not. They are two very different beasts on the backend, so it's not possible for us to migrate all of that.
No plans for a demand feature at this time.
Yes, we plan to incorporate the block system into the Auction House, and current plans are for it to be a thorough block. You don't see their auctions, they don't see yours. They can't send you private auction requests, you can't send them private auction requests.
We're researching solutions on the best way to go with this. It's very likely that we'll make the purchase button only show conditionally (say, if the dragon is being auctioned in the Fire house, only Fire accounts would be able to see the button).
We don't have any current plans to allow selling directly from your Hoard.
Some of that is just a symptom of us running the site concurrently in two different phases and will go away as more sections are converted. Though we will do our best to address alert-related issues as we continue to implement more converted chunks.
You can show as few as 10 auctions per page, 50 is just the upper limit.
It all depends on how it affects performance. If we find that we're still in good shape, it's something we can think about adding to Dragon Search in general.
Not at launch, I'm afraid. But as far as @Mutron has made me aware, there's a lot of great potential with the new search system we're using, so we'll make sure we jot it down.
Not for the initial launch, but we like the concept.
Expired auctions need to be relisted indivdually.
Not ridiculous! Thanks for asking. :) It works identically to the current Auction House, wherein the dragon remains with you until the point of sale.
Not at this time; the search results will remain anchored to the top of the page.
Yep - you can remove an auction listing from the My Current Listings section of the Activity Ledger.

Not a whole lot is changing from the current version of the Auction House on these two pages. The Current Listings page will allow you to manage all of your auctions that have already been posted, and your Recent History page will allow you to view receipts of all your recent sales or purchases, with multiple ways to sort! - We will also announce the date and time that the previous version of the Auction House will shut down. We plan to make sure that you have at least a week's notice so that you can wrap up any remaining sales in that time.
- We will shut down the current Auction House and it will be inaccessible. We don't plan to interrupt gameplay on other parts of the site if we can help it.
- Once the current version of the Auction House has been shut down, we will automatically expire all auction listings that are still active. This will ensure that your items get back to you.
- We will conduct maintenance and enable the new Auction House.
- We will open the site.
Each step of the way we will be as communicative and forthright about the implementation process as possible so that everyone has the information they need. The dropdowns on buy/sell... do they use the much-maligned hover system (terrible for tablets and mobiles) or do they require a click?
It's a click. :)

Got a question! How does being auctioned interact with being in a coli party?
Ie, can you put a dragon in the coli while it's being auctioned?

It will not be possible to place a listed dragon onto a Coliseum team.

I see a Default button in the search form. Will we be able to save searches we've created?
Saved searches aren't a launch feature, but we like the idea very much.

Let's say I want to sell dragons to my flight, but a specific few people. Can the same dragon be listed in a private auction and whoever buys it first gets it?
No, it will only be possible to set up a Private Auction for a dragon for one person at a time.

Super excited!!! I do have a question though! (Sorry if it's already been asked)
Will the sale/purchase receipts have more detailed information than they do now? For example, the name of the person who bought/sold the listing. There have been times when I've purchased an item/dragon for a very cheap price that I thought was worth more than I payed, and would liked to have asked the seller if the price was a mistake, but was unsure of who to contact.

I have a question about selling. Will it allow quicker listing of multiple, the same amount stacks of the same item for the same price (i. e. Baldwin materials or food)?
Not at launch, but it's an idea we may explore.

Amazing job! Everything seems so functional and pretty with all the new features and organization <3
But ...please tell me that whenever listing an item on the AH to sell, we can now just type its name on a searchbox, there is a dropmenu for type or something that reduces the amount of items we have to go trough before finding the item that we need. Specially with food and materials, searching manually with so tiny previews its difficult and tiring ^^U

Unfortunately, "find-as-you-type" functionality will not be a launch feature, but we agree that it would be helpful and it's an idea we want to research.
Quote:
@Xhaztol Will there be an 'identical to' feature so you don't have to, say, scroll through pages of rich copper ore to hunt for copper ore that isn't rich? (Just an example using randomly selected items)
This is not something we will have at launch, but we will look into it!

Is the fee structure for listing items changing? Can we list items for more than 1, 3, or 7 days?
The fee structure will remain the same for Realm-Wide and Flight auctions. For Private Auctions, will be locked at 7 days and have no fees.
Quote:
Will the sales receipt show which dragon has sold? Under the current system, it's confusing to know which one is gone when they're all unnamed.
There will be a thumbnail of the dragon itself, the dragon's ID number and a clickable link to the dragon.
Quote:
Will a private auction send the potential buyer a notification the same way a crossroads trade does? Ex. "You have one pending private auction! Go the Auction House to complete your purchase." or something of the sort?
Yes, you will get an alert if someone has listed a private auction for you to review.
Quote:
I have a question, though. If someone sends me a private auction, will I have an option to decline/cancel it?
This is not something that will be there at launch, but I can see it being potentially useful! We can investigate this possibility.
Quote:
On that note though- when doing a search, can we search both Flight and Site wide auctions at the same time? Or would I need to have two different tabs open to do that?
As of right now you will have to search Realm-Wide and Flight auctions separately.
Quote:
My only questions: Will it be possible to exclude genes, G1s, XYX type dragons, or numbers in the ID search? Also, any chance of seeing colors grouped into preset ranges (reds, blues, greyscale etc.) for quicker searching? More of a pain to code I'm sure but every click it saves is huge, esp. for people with dexterity / mobility issues like myself.
Quote:
For the multi-select, is there a limit to how many things we can select? Like there over a hundred colors, so could we select twenty of them or is there a limit of only 4? and by twenty colors I'm not referring to a range, but all the colors are separate and spread out on the wheel.
We are not imposing a hard limit at the moment. If we do add a limit in the future, it will be for performance reasons, and will likely be larger than four.
Quote:
Will the profits tab remember sold auctions for 14 days, the same as the activity in the other tabs? If not how long/how many sold auctions will it remember?
The Profits tab shows you sold auctions for which the profits have not yet been collected. There is not a limit to the profits tab -- so, you cannot lose profits if you don't collect them immediately! The records of sold auctions in the Recent History tab is however limited to 14 days.
Quote:
Another question - will the AH limbo still be a thing for expiring auctions?
With the revamp, we are reducing AH limbo as much as possible. The goal is to have it be on the order of seconds.
Quote:
- the expandable/collapsible container for search parameters is said to collapse automatically after parameters are chosen; however, when one's searching for different items quickly the automatic collapsing seems to hinder the flow (one more click required; like in selling large amounts of various materials or doing price-checks) - will it be possible to lock the container in expanded position?
As of right now there is no lock feature for the search parameters.
Quote:
- a similar issue appears in the 'Sell' interface: the appropriate Auction House (Realm-Wide or other) needs to be chosen with each item listed; it's an additional click per item - will there be a way to lock it at a specific AH? Or does it stay the way we left it when listing previous item?
It will stay the same way you left it with respect to the house (Realm/Flight/Private) and tab (Food/Materials/etc.) you have selected.
Quote:
- and finally, a thing that likely bothers me the most in the current system: while selling, will the items on the left stay on the same position after an item is listed? (example: I have a lot of materials; it takes a lot of scrolling and searching to find Iron Nuggets; I want to list, say, 10 stacks of 5 Nuggets - so I have to scroll down all the way to the Nuggets 10 times)
Currently because there is a page refresh the scroll will be reset, but we will look into ways to make selling multiples of the same item quicker.
Quote:
Is there still a way to look at the last items/dragons listed (like how you can click on "Expiration-Descending" now)? I can't really tell from the screenshots, it may be in the "Sort By" dropdown.
Yes, you will still be able to sort your current listings by expiration date.
Quote:
I see that you can select which AH to sell an item on - will it default to the realm-wide AH? (In other words, I won't have to select realm-wide every time I sell an item?) I don't see myself using the flight-only or private AHs very much.
If you click the "Auction House" link on the left sidebar of the site, it will ask you to choose between Flight, Realm-Wide and Private. However, you can always bookmark the "Sell" page for Realm-Wide auctions if you wish!
Quote:
How is the "generation" on the dragons calculated? If a dragon has a first-gen parent and a fifth-gen parent, would it be considered second gen or sixth gen?
The generation search only lets you filter to 1st gen or 2nd+ gen. As you pointed out, past gen1 it is not necessarily clear what "generation" a dragon belongs to.

I have a ton of messages in my inbox with money from auction sales, because I don't have the time to open them and collect the money. Do I have to open them before the new AH is implemented and will they not be affected?
The existing messages in your inbox will stay as they are when the new AH is launched. You will not have to collect them before the new AH launches!
Quote:
What about Pearl, Spitfire, and the other courier dragon?
We haven't finalized plans at the moment, but we will be looking for other ways to for the courier dragons to be represented on site in the future. :)
Quote:
What categories does apparel have/what categories will it have? Will it be stuff like treasure marketplace / gem marketplace / festival? Or new, more specific ones like head / tail / wing / etc?
The apparel categories will be the same as they are now: Head, Body, Wings, Legs, Tail, Extras & Accents.
Quote:
In the notifications we get now for a sale, there is a direct link to the inbox/message center. Will there be a similar link to to the new AH where we pick up payments with the notifications?
Yes, clicking the alert will take you to your Activity Ledger.
Quote:
will you be considering adding another option to filter user-submitted skins/accents vs festival skins/accents as another search in the skins tab?
We will look into it -- it's possible, but it will likely not be available at launch!
Quote:
On the current system, when you look at your current auctions you can't tell how many you listed. Will this be remedied?
Yes, you will be able to see the total number of current auctions you have in your Activity Ledger.
Quote:
When searching a range, how will the system determine the direction along the color wheel to search (for example a Royal-to-Fire range could include blues/greens/yellows etc. or greys/pinks/browns etc. depending on the direction)? Will it be like the breeding system where it automatically uses the shorter distance? If so, would there be a way to search through the longer distance range if that was what we wanted?
It uses the approach from the breeding system. If you want the long way around the wheel, that can be accomplished by breaking up one long range into two shorter sub ranges.
Quote:
If you change flights, what happens to items in the old-flight only AH? Will they remain, or automatically expire?
At the moment, the plan is that you will have to cancel any pending flight-only auctions before changing flights.
Quote:
A question: Are there any plans to be able to search dragons by level or energy level?
No plans currently, but we've received the question several times throughout the day, so we've definitely made note of it. :)
Quote:
Are the colors final for the design, or will it be changed from grey to the more traditional tan and red?
Nothing is 100% final, but we anticipate there won't be too much more modification before this version launches. If we make any style modifications it'll likely be at a later date.
Quote:
Is it going to be like the CR revamp was where all the auctions will be cancelled before it's implemented? And if so will we be able to use the relist function on the automatically cancelled auctions once the revamp is done?
Yes, the bottom of the opening post (before the Q&A) specifies what we envision our launch process will be. As for relisting items that were canceled in the old system, I'm afraid not. They are two very different beasts on the backend, so it's not possible for us to migrate all of that.
Quote:
Are you planning on adding a demand feature? Like, let's say I want an item which is rare or not currently for sale; I could make a demand to let people know there is someone who wants that item, and thus allow them to fulfill the request.
No plans for a demand feature at this time.
Quote:
Will there be any additional block related features? So you don't see acutions from people you have blocked and they don't see auctions from you. And will people you have blocked be able to send private auctions to you or vice versa?
Yes, we plan to incorporate the block system into the Auction House, and current plans are for it to be a thorough block. You don't see their auctions, they don't see yours. They can't send you private auction requests, you can't send them private auction requests.
Quote:
@Xhaztol will anything change about "purchase" buttons on individual dragon pages? Will there still be purchase buttons for flight-only or private auctions? What about the little money bag indicator on dragon profiles, will a dragon listed for a private or in-flight auction still be indicated as up for auction to people outside the flight, or will it not be visible?
We're researching solutions on the best way to go with this. It's very likely that we'll make the purchase button only show conditionally (say, if the dragon is being auctioned in the Fire house, only Fire accounts would be able to see the button).
Quote:
With this revamp, will there be any way that we can sell things straight-from-hoard? This would come in handy, hence less scrolling. Maybe a quick click of a little box button or something that had AH on it, and then you listed how many you want to sell and how much?
We don't have any current plans to allow selling directly from your Hoard.

will the alert system be corrected for incorrect notifications?
right now the alerts come back if you change between www and www1. Will this still happen? Sometimes after I check alerts and move to a different area of FR I get a notice of new alerts that aren't new (and I've already checked).

Some of that is just a symptom of us running the site concurrently in two different phases and will go away as more sections are converted. Though we will do our best to address alert-related issues as we continue to implement more converted chunks.

I love like 99% of it (especially the multi-selectable stuff and the range searches<3) but the one thing that bothers me is that a LOT of my AH use is dependant on not scrolling down, just leaving my mouse in the one place for the next page, and going through lots of pages quickly, so if 50 things are on one page that seriously changes the entire way I use the AH, any possibility for less things per page? or the ability to change how much per page?
You can show as few as 10 auctions per page, 50 is just the upper limit.
Quote:
I am so psyched! This looks so smooth and awesome! I'm especially excited about the color range searching feature. Are there any plans to implement a similar search structure in Dragon Search?
It all depends on how it affects performance. If we find that we're still in good shape, it's something we can think about adding to Dragon Search in general.
Quote:
Will we be able to search the skin/accents via seller? I'd love a way to see all available accents by my favorite artist.
Not at launch, I'm afraid. But as far as @Mutron has made me aware, there's a lot of great potential with the new search system we're using, so we'll make sure we jot it down.
Quote:
AY THIS LOOKS AMAZING!! Are there any plans to make it easier to peek at what price others are listing an item for as a reference for when you're in the Sell tab?
Not for the initial launch, but we like the concept.
Quote:
As far as expired auctions, is there a relist all option or do we need to relist them individually, one at a time?
Expired auctions need to be relisted indivdually.
Quote:
Maybe its a ridiculous question, pardon if its already asked, but if I list a dragon in the AH does in stay in my lair or sent to the AH?
Not ridiculous! Thanks for asking. :) It works identically to the current Auction House, wherein the dragon remains with you until the point of sale.
Quote:
will be an option to choose the panel of "search options" on the right not on top, like now?
Not at this time; the search results will remain anchored to the top of the page.
Quote:
@Xhaztol Will we be able to remove something from the AH if we decide we want to keep it?
Yep - you can remove an auction listing from the My Current Listings section of the Activity Ledger.
