I saw someone who was giftedsunchaser jewelry, and item worth like 300$ in gems. I'm just curious as to how far people are willing to go in the name of generocity and friendship. My buddy personally give their buddy an alloy scroll! 1200g! I try to be generous, but how can I ever compete being all measly and small as I am ;-;

I've not been gifted anything terribly rare on this site - and I don't expect to be either. I'm not so social here so I don't have many friends, I tend to lurk and make my money quietly. *shrugs*

Honestly, luck has a lot to do with it (at least with being the one to receive random gifts). I was given an Ice Sprite when I first started, and several people gifted me with gems when I was questing for my Light Sprite.
I've also handed out a butt load of stuff too. Everything from 2013 festival to regular familiars to gems and treasure. FR is just the sort of community I love. Generosity everywhere and when you get stuff, it inspires you to do the same. :D

once it was because i said "i kinda want a sprite, but i'm pretty sure it's impossible at this point" and some kind person gave me a water sprite!
some time later, i said something like "my dream is to get a wind sprite" and somebody gave me one of THOSE!!
i kinda feel like i was subconsciously begging??? i dunno

I've heard of sprites being given, but that was years ago. I think year 3 familiars (the soldier stuff?) would be more common gifts now.
There's a lot of factors. Personality, if you're friends with them, how rich the gifter is, etc.
