Cerdae kind of reminds me of cervidae which is the scientific name of the deer family. The unicorns are very deerlike too though. I love them either way the staff is awsome.

I think one of the cerdae's descriptions said that cerdae were unicorns that lost their magic or were born without any.

"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

@Luthyx Ahhh yeah, the Mossy Cerdae description has that!
Weird that the new critters are both cerdae and not one cerdae, one unicorn! What kind of unicorn do they come from?

The tooltip also mentions that cerdae birthrates have skyrocketed, so perhaps unicorns have been entirely outnumbered by cerdae in the Blooming Grove's ecosystem?

But if the Black Dwarf Unicorn has lost its magic, would it then become a cerdae? Or do you have to be born without it to be a cerdae?

It takes Twelve Years for one Imperial pair to produce a Primal-eyed offspring of a specific sex. Goal-based breeding is dead.
It says that Cerdae don't have healing abilities, they may still have magic.
