Share your fond newbie memories? :D Here are mine:
-not understanding why the coliseum was so hard, trying to get through it with three level 1s dergs. I remember constantly buying minor health potions to get through. Like 5 of my permadragons are at weird levels (4-8) because I had two different coli teams
-not knowing about the scrying workshop for the longest time or how breeding colors/pairs work. I remember being super psyched to breed my green imp with a pink crackle snapper. I thought they were the most beautiful dragons ever and was so confused when their babies came out…. not
-keeping around their really ugly firstborn for the longest time bc I loved the parents too much (she had pink primary, yellow secondary, and bright red crackle tert)
-going through the AH fodder dragons with awe at all the pretty colors and genes and taking a long time deciding over which one to buy bc of limited treasure
-thinking triple basics from my first nest being the most beautiful dragons ever and keeping them around my lair for a really long time (I still have one of those triple basics)
-freaking out with excitement when my irl friend who got me into FR sent me 50k treasure. True richness
-buying cheap apparel for the first time and loving it
-hatching my first egg immediately and getting very excited even though I knew nothing about geneing
-getting really excited when I found a Tomo’s tablet cheat sheet thread and using it every day
not so fond
-selling a level 15 dragon with eliminate for around 20k
-feeling completely isolated bc I didn’t know how the forums work
-all that time spent playing in the fairgrounds and being horribly bored but wanting that cash
-making a fool of myself when I didn’t realize how much UM accents cost and thought they meant treasure instead of gems

i sucked at coli and riot of rot was hecked up, thankfully i treained my team to lvl25 before rockbreaker
i remember when my dergs didnt have apparel aside from brunisa and a neck wrap on aldioph, i was putting some aviator apparel on ceramis and then something clicked, i edcided all my dergs require apparel from now on

My very first AH dragon purchase was green male Imperial and I named it Shenron.

- I avoided Crim for like a month (maybe even more, I have no idea) because I didn't understand how she worked. All that easy money little newbie me missed out on makes me laugh, not that I would've had a lot to trade back then.
- Playing runestones for hours on end until my wrist was sore for days because of the repetitive motion, all because there wasn't a treasure cap in the olden days. When you reached the end of the lucky streak you just earned half as much treasure.
- Working my tail off in order to make my progens a pearlcatcher and a spiral, and then getting their genes. I was so proud.
- The bidding war I got into over an imperial XD I lost it, but boy was it intense for a little while there.
- Getting the copper steampunk wings out of a gold chest we got for downtime or something. I was so excited because I'd been really wanting those! (I also got a silver springbok, which was pretty neat at the time).
- The time they rebooted the coliseum and all the animations were outrageously sped up. It was hilarious how fast the peacock scorpions were flexing their tails XD
Oh gosh, I know there must be more, but that was such a long time ago ._.

[font=sylfaen]Omggg I remember that. I changed one of the buttons on my mouse to refresh runestones when I got to a level where I couldn't see the stones anymore bc I was so lazy.
Struggling through the coli before levelling guides were a thing and then the mire being really hard bc I'd given all my dragons fairly even stats.
When we got a new venue!! And it was the most exciting thing!! That could possibly happen!! (It was the Roost, Boreal used to be the highest venue.)
Every time the site went down and the long suffering sigh lmao. Oh and "mistakes were made, you can probably try that again though". Idk why but the big lag issues and site outages and the great skydancer scroll release economy heart attack are really fond memories for some reason? I sat in the MP for hours the night sds were released trying to snipe scrolls. Calla was my first sd. Idk. Nostalgia man.
The first dragon I ever bought was Seven and I still have her she was a triple basic tundra and I spent about twenty minutes wondering where this mysterious avocado colour was bc I didn't know what a tert was hahaha.
Um idk if it really counts as a memory but like? The Scroll Race™ bc treasure scrolls were the hardest things to get back in the day so seeing someone with a ridgeback or spiral avatar was like wow that person is super wealthy dang.
Oh and the like breeding fads and becoming part of those like clubs bc they were super exclusive since narrow ranges in breeding were hard so if you were part of the Neon Wings breeding HUB or smth like that you felt really special and you got badges. My progen qualified and I was like lkadjfl;aksjdf excited but I couldn't afford shimmer and he STILL doesn't have shimmer but that's ok haha.

I'd actually say I reminded in newbie stage for about half a year before I started seriously playing and participating in dom. Back then I'd look at the dom board and be like 'Oh, we're top. Lovely.'Then walk away and continue as if nothing happened.
Just to reinforce the point, I gave away my old my old coli team bc their stats were hecked up. One of them had an eliminate, I just wanted them the heck outta my lair. Unfortunately one of the dragons is my progen. I did get art in exchange though, so fair's fair.
I only fully trained my proper coli team to 25 a few months ago, and I'm almost 2 years old on FR >.>
