Note: This issue is true for females as well, but for me at least it's more noticeable on the males.
So I really like male tundras, but I noticed an issue with them. Let's use Demetri here as an example:

As you can see, his mane and tail color is his secondary. Now the issue is that genes are very inconsistent as to whether or not the mane and tail are affected by secondary genes.
Affected:

Unaffected:

This is a pretty minor issue as far as issues go, I just noticed it and went "huh."

SQUINTS??
I'm sure they were too lazy to figure out what's under the fur
but like, even if it's mimicking bee wings, it's still the secondary.. i mean clearly, they wanted the mane and tail to be involved in the secondary, and yet it's not complete?
idk

Huh. That is odd, especially considering bee affects the feather crest on wildclaws. Tundras, y u rebel?

It also holds true for Imperials (Using a random scatter from the Scrying Workshop)

The toxin affects the fur along the imperial's back.

Yet Speckled does not affect the fur.
You can probably do the same for other breeds. I noticed a similar thing occurring earlier when scrying a pearlcatcher

I noticed it while Scrying Demetri. It's weird sometimes, because there are certain colors determined by the secondary, but whether or not the gene affects them seems to have no rhyme or reason, which is a bit of a shame. Tundra Manes take up so much space on the males, it's a shame they're stuck as a faux-Basic in so many genes.

Actually, bee does affect the mane and tail, it's just not obvious with most colors!
Examples:
Saffron Basic:

Saffron Bee:

It gives them some color variation, and lil' highlights which are varying in visibleness depending on the color! (same for imps)
[s]Now you can have a rad Shad-oh the edgehedge fanderg[/s]

Admittedly not much, but it's a nice touch compared to some genes
edit:
I gotta say though, the complete lack of any color variance on forest is disappointing, considering you can at least tell there's a different color patch on most all of the colors.

Maybe it's an error? Switching back from basic to Bee, I can see some extra lines of color on the mane and tail. They're hardly noticeable at all though, and has me wondering if this automatic gene-coloring thing the staff use may have neglected a few colors.

Yeah, Tundras' gorgeous, luscious manes should be embraced more. Even the peregrine scry is a bit lackluster.

That.. kinda.. doesn't match, but it's something!

Imperials and Tundras have this problem, but...

Nobody's going to bring up Pearlcatchers?
