I want to be able to love every gene in as many contexts as possible, but I just can't bring myself to like Contour. It's probably because I like triple-gene dragons, and Contour, to me, looks awkward with anything other than Basic. However, I'd feel really bad if there was a gene on the site that no one ever seemed to like.
Is there anyone out there who genuinely likes Contour, and if you stumble into this thread, could you explain to me why? I want to hear you gush. Tell me why you think Contour is amazing. Show me your favorite Contour dragons. I feel guilty on behalf of Contour! Even if I don't love it, show me that it still gets love!

I just thought it kind of added something a little extra to them and always liked how it turned the under side of their "Paws" that whole color

Edit: I quite like it with skink, if the tert is the accent colour of the spinner, I find it makes the wings look cooler

Ngl compared to the quality of primaries and secondaries like crystal and bee, the cartoonish flatness of contour gives me art whiplash. :/ Imagine if the ribbon had some sheen or texture to it, I mean, how much better would that be? It'd add a dash of spice to more basic gene plans like bar and speckle but wouldn't clash with flashier genes like iri/shim. I actually have a few dragons with contour but they certainly wouldn't be hurt by an art upgrade!
