Guardians of Ga'Hoole, dang, I haven't read that since like fifth grade. I should look into that again.
I probably would've enjoyed the movie more if I hadn't read the books first.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it! I read most books in the series and saw the movie, I enjoy both. The movie is like a retelling almost, though it also gets a near "in name only" clause imo.

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
