Or rather when you hoard both those things and just sit there, hoping the thing you are melting is not one of the things you just managed to collect.

I'm trying to get one of every piece of apparel and I can never tell which ones are my "reserved" pieces for my collection and which ones are extras I can melt.

That happened to me.

"WHERE IS X THING? PLEASE GIVE BALDWIN A SEARCH FUNCTION."

"96 hours."

"(screams) I FORGOT TO CHECK BALDWIN AND MELT THINGS."

"What is x even used for!?"

"Raise. The. Level. Cap."
or...
"(arises from the shadows upon hearing talking of brewing and reveals empty cauldron) SOMEONE NEED TO BREW SOMETHING? I NEED THAT HOT HOT EXP. PLEASE."

(awakens familiar) "Give me the chest and get in the pot."

"If you don't give me the mat I'm drop kicking your pearl in the pot. DON'T TEST ME OLD MAN."

"I'm missing 100k treasure. I don't remember what I bought..."

Gene continues to brew in the background.
