I've been playing for about a week now, trying to farm an Eliminate for my team. I've been leveling my starting dragons up to 25 in the lowest possible exp yielding areas. Upon looking at the AH and realizing they cost half a million treasure, I noped out and went back to the Coliseum for more grinding.
My hubby heard the word 'dragon' and signed up too. Tried his hand at farming, and gave up in a day. He bought some gems and purchased us both an Eliminate.
Happily, I sauntered off to level up much faster and realized that the mobs can dodge Eliminate. In my head, I watched half a million gold coins barrel toward a deer and they just majestically climbed over that pile.
Edit: Also, I keep shortening Kamaitachi to Kimchi.

Having eliminate is far better and more lucrative than not having one, just because enemies can dodge it, it doesn't mean it's worthless :)

You might try the Sedona build. No eliminate needed.

It's a scratching build that allows your dragons to battle pretty well (as a pair) all the way to the Kelp Beds. I use these two as my loot farmers.

I used the medium stat suggestions for mine:
[s]http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=64996&did=3579296[/s]
http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=35792969
The Sedona build is slower than the Glass-cannon build in Culex and Kiena's guides, but perfectly effective. Once they have earned enough treasure for you, then you can buy them an Eliminate stone or two.
mmm kimchi weasels XD

Sonyei Welcome to FR, you two!
Elims are super rare; I've only gotten mine as gifts from others. I think they used to be more common, but the drop rate decreased after an update. However, they drop in almost any venue, the only exception (to my knowledge) being the Mire. There's even a chance to get one from Pinkerton!
Unless you're neglecting your AGI (which you shouldn't, it's one of the most useful stats! It affects dodging AND attacking!) you shouldn't have too many issues with dodging. It's frustrating, but Elims definitely make life easier even when you count dodges. You can grind in any of the lower-level venues really quickly, and even the Training Fields has a chance to drop Eliminates! Good luck!

This is why I have 2 levelers with eliminate on my team! I end building up so much breath still have to scratch enemies before I can use it, I have 4 eliminate attacks before I need to build it all back up again!

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.

keet Oh, I don't think it's useless. I'm quite happy with the speed and length of which I can tear through venues now, and finally get to cause havoc in higher level than I am. It was just hilarious to watch it get dodged for the first time, and my Eliminate dragon get picked off in consecutive enemy crits. Hurt my soul a bit. XD
And thank you, @
wingworm, but I already have one! :D I'm looking at making my third dragon a healer/mage though. The dragon with Eliminate seems to get targeted quite a bit, lol.
@
NightmareJudge, eh? D: I've been following Culex's guide, and I didn't even see Agility mentioned until the level 25 part when they say to tincture for max points. All of my points have gone into QCK/STR. My dragon has 3 Berserk stones though. And thank you for the welcome!
@
LicianDragon Yaaaa, that's what I'm talking about. :) If it doesn't die with the first one, kill it more. XD Haha. Please be my Colosseum murder buddy.
Sorry if I ping too much. I'm not entirely certain how this works. If I respond to a thread without pinging it seems no one sees that I've answered. O.o

Sonyei Oh congrats! Well that does make things much faster XD
Are you experimenting with a mage build already?
I recommend a Golem Workshop mage: battle cleric.
http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1666709
They seem to work well in the lower venues as well, to keep your battlers in top condition = to farm forever. They are a little quicker and a bit more agile than the reverse Culex mage.

wingworm I will definitely check that one out! :D Right now he's just a funky hybrid. Mostly STR based so his scratches help to keep the mobs in check, and very sparingly he can toss out a heal. We're almost to 24. As soon as I get them to 25 I'll tincture the healer and restat him correctly. Thank you for the farming suggestion. <3

Sonyei I don't use Culex's build (not a fan of glass cannon builds in general) but I can tell you that AGI is really useful. I don't know the exact math, but it affects your dodge rate, hit ratio, and your critical hit ratio. Someone who's more knowledgeable about the math behind Coli could give you a better answer, but if your attacks are getting dodged too much, it might be time for another Tincture and reassignment.

NightmareJudge Thank you for the info. :D I'll definitely get more in depth about min-maxing for the Colosseum, but the glass cannons appealed to me due to the way I started the game, haha. I come from an MMO background, so I statted one to be a tank, one to be a DPS, and one to be a mage-y type. But both of the Tundra dragons started with Meditate/Contuse, and I didn't know you could change out battle stones yet.
So I spent the first 9 levels Meditating/Contusing my way to victory. It was horrible, and now I just want to kill everything before it can blink. LOL.
