Heck, this might be a long story and I don't even know if this is even the right forum for this, but. Anyway.

I started in Arcane when I first signed up here. That lasted for about a month, when I realized that despite a love of space and magic I did not quite fit in with the community there and that pink was not my thing. Fair enough. Can't always get it right the first time. So I decided to switch to Nature. Nice aesthetics, lots of my favorite color green, and the people here are ridiculously nice. There is absolutely nothing I dislike about being in Nature.

Except I'm getting the creeping feeling that I don't belong. Again.

And I don't know if it's that I haven't quite found the right flight for me yet, or something wrong with me, specifically. God/s know I isolate myself at times, without even realizing I'm doing it, and I certainly don't post as regularly in the Nature forums as I should. Maybe I just need the change of scenery or something. I don't know, and that kind of worries me. I think I'll just save up for a flight change and see what happens...

If it's just not wanting to post in your flight's forums that often, that's okay! I only post in the Nature forums probably 3 or 4 times a month.

If it's more than that, though, you can always switch between flights. You could do a new flight every 6 months and see if something fits, or you could switch between the same 2 or 3 flights every 6 months. Do whatever feels right to you!

@SmolSeed It's more a matter of me feeling like I should have more of a sense of community in my flight, and me not knowing if it's me and my messed-up brain preventing that, or if I'm truly not clicking with Nature's community.

You could do a world tour of all the flights if it catches your fancy! Might be a little pricey tho There must be a great ft for you out there somewhere!

i haven't even looked in the plague forums in weeks, i'm just here for the aesthetic. it's not absolutely necessary to be involved in your flight, but it's perfectly ok if you want to. you may want to join a smaller, more tightly-knit flight like earth if that's your thing. time and patience goes a long way towards becoming part of a community though.

edit: plus maybe the restlessness is a sign you belong in wind, the nomadic flight

@Rumpelstiltskin Thank you. :) I don't think I'm gonna do the whole world tour thing, but I appreciate the encouragement. Awesome username, btw.

@Sijax Yeah, joining a more close-knit community was part of the reason I switched to Nature, since it was a much smaller flight than Arcane. Wind actually is the least appealing to me aesthetically, and from what I've heard it seems too fast-paced. I've kind of been contemplating Ice, recently. For lore reasons and an increasing fondness for the aesthetics of it. Plus, I've heard there are lots of cats.

What part of FR gameplay do you like? Maybe that could help - different flights favor different parts of the gameplay.

@unidra Mostly it's been writing lore. I haven't gotten most of it actually written out yet, but telling stories has always been a big thing for me.

@SmallScarecrow - maybe joining Nature discord could help you feel closer and give you the sense of "belonging" that you're looking for? It's easier to talk and to interact via discord than it is through the forums (especially if you tend to isolate yourself). Traveling (as funds permit) may be the way to find somewhere that feels like home to you. Good luck!

@SmallScarecrow

Wind and Shadow are generally very lore-oriented. I'm not sure if Nature is lore-oriented, but it might be.

Have you checked out the roleplay forums? Maybe that would help too.
