Tiyuji Location makes a huge difference. Boreal Woods is currently in the lead with an average of 100 kills/chest, but I expect that to change as more data comes in. Woodland Path's pretty solid, 707 data points and a 200 kills/chest ratio, so that's like 70 battles per chest? Which sounds high but that's like 10 minutes.
And make sure you're using glass cannons! So far it looks like the best venues are those where you can one-shot enemies. Though I think part of that is still the lack of data in high-level venues.

Really? I've been having good luck. Went about 3 hours in the Waterway yesterday and had a neat 15 chests to show for it.

The waterway is great. I was grinding there most of the day and consistently got a chest every 10-15 minutes. The higher level mimics drop chests more often, but you can still one shot eliminate everything there.

Seconded; I've spent a total of about six hours grinding today, and while I've mostly traded away my chests, I've gotten at least 30 by my records by hopping around Woodland Path, Sandswept Delta, Blooming Grove, and Bamboo Falls.

I haven't been keeping close track, but Waterway and Scorched Forest have been good for me as well! I seem to encounter way more NotN enemies there.
