TOPIC | do you think an fr dragon can be an oc
not if it has the same colors and genes as a dragon on the site, imo. then it's just you drawing a dragon that you own. I mean it'd be an OC if like... you had a fae with 10 diff colors

Depends on how you define 'original character'. I define 'original' as something I created, for a setting I created. A character set in the universe of Naruto is not an original character (since it is not my setting) but a fan character. Shared words (such as ones made for rp) is a bit more fuzzy, but that's not the case here. Neither the character design nor the world setting in this case is original. So I would say no.

Each colour must be neon. Spots, stars, stripes, and lightning bolts. Two different eye colours.

I'd say yes. If you write up lore and personality and character, then yes, it can be an original character.
I never really thought about it much before, but yeah, I'd say most of my clan are original characters. (aside from my few fandragons) I've put a lot of thought and time into the personality and actions of my clan, so yes. A FR dragon can be an OC if you want it to.

I think they can be. A few of my dergs have developed strong enough personalities that they comfortably exist in a non-FR setting.
I've also had the inverse where pre-existing OC's have become FR dragons. >_>;

I've actually commissioned for a few (or from what I remember, at least 1) dragons/OCs before. They usually have similar color schemes, and the fr dragon at times wears apparel that can convey the OC's personality and character.
