i'm trying to brainstorm ideas for skins and accents, but... i find myself wondering what people would like - what's cool, hip, and happening with the fr community in aesthetique~!
are there breeds you'd like to see more for? is there that one dragon you've had forever and you still need a fitting accent for 'em? is there something you think there's a little too much of? not enough?? what body parts would you like to see decked out in full accentuated color?
please, though, be courteous. NEVER @ any artists you don't like, and while you may complain about x, y, or z, don't make any personal stabs... and don't make fun of contest entries, no matter how bad you think they are. they're not official onsite items; knock it off!!! if you must be negative, do so without hurting someone in the process. y'all can come for me, though, i know i need to work on stuff quite a bit

I really want to see bright colors. Whenever I try to search through skins and accents, I see a lot of sepias and other muted colors.
Also, I prefer simpler accents, but that's just my input. Some people make the complicated ones work.

I want a plaguey male mirror accent that suits my custom progen Blightfall. I was thinking Slee's Eliminate! series, but the last mirror m one in stock got snatched up already ;-;
Overall I would like more gorey accents, even though I know that's unlikely now due to the current skin rules. I would also like to see more nuclear-themed accents and skins :X I have a Fallout fandragon, a Chernobite subspecies noc, and a Waste Isolation Pilot Plant 'fan'dragon.
(I just don't think it's a fandragon persay, since... ya know.... it's a location)

Female skydancer accents are my cryptonite
I quite enjoy animal themed skins and accents, I've seen some really cool snakes, an orca, some deer, a few wolves etc, I love em all.
I also really love accents that fit into existing genes, something that puts new colours inside daub patterns, or adds a lighter glow around the edge of peregrine stripes for example. Accents like that can really pop and look fantastic on the right dragon

What's popular right now? Same thing as always. Jewelry, fine silks and drapery, lace and stockings, space, cute pastel, demons and angels, occult, gothic, and that experimental cosmic fractal trend that I can't find a word for.
Again, same breeds. Coatls, Imperials, Skydancers, and Wildclaws are the only desirable dragons. Nobody cares about anything else.
I'd personally like to see more cyberpunk and robotic skins beyond simple textures. Artists that produce a certain look I really enjoy are extremely difficult to come by, especially since it's already a niche aesthetic compared to the droves of everything else I mentioned.
I'd also like to see masculine gothic fashion. While I said it was a popular aesthetic, sadly the most that I actually see represented is black lace and roses. While that's not a bad thing, gothic fashion extends far beyond that, and feminine boys in lace aren't to my taste - and that completely kills my chances of ever finding an accent I want because that's all there really is.
Lastly, less popular breeds tend to stay unpopular because it's easier to drum up interest on, say, a male Coatl than it is for a female Tundra. Not many people like female Tundras, leading to less people drawing for them, causing them to stay unpopular. Don't forget that there is an audience out there that will happily come if you produce great content, and that you might even convince people to buy a hypothetical Tundra.
That's about all the input I can really offer based on observation.

I'd also really like to see more warrior-type things--you can get drapery and jewelry pretty much anywhere, so I don't even really look at those--one will always be there if I find I have a dragon that needs it. But armor and weaponry, particularly of the sort that looks like it might have actually been used once, is harder to find.
