Does anybody actually...use them? The price seems to high for just a 6 day wait...

I think people only really use them when a new breed or possibly gem gene are released. I remember when Bogsneaks were released, a lot of people used them and made mad cash from selling the hatchlings.

I sometimes use them for just about any nest if I think it’s particularly exciting or some such.
I don’t generally have much patience XD

I do, because hatch day purposes.

They are a pay to win item for the impatient. As such its good if the site actually doesn't really use them overall. It means that a) this game is not laid out to make "pay to win" a viable strategy and b) users are probably patient enough to wait 6 days insteas of spending money on something they will get a bit later anyway. Kudos to all you players that could have bought and then refrained. Having longer breath than your impulses will help you keep you gems (and real live!) together.

I've also seen them given when someone is borrowing a nest so that the person hosting the dragons won't have to remember to incubate them every day or feed the dragons. People who request two other players to breed their dragons hoping to get a certain color combo use them sometimes, since the other two players would already be doing them a favor without having to go without their dragons for a week.

I feel similarly about the maturity scroll. I see them used more often to grow up a hatchling in order to clothe them than to undo an eternal youth scroll. just wait ... six days ...

What baffles me the most is the Maturity Scroll. Why would someone waste so much for one, unless they're trying to 'fix' an eternal youth? It's just a matter of few days, and you gain nothing from it. At the very least, the boon can allow people to sell new genes while they're still relevant and expansive...

I only use them when a new gem gene comes out, and even then only if I get 3+ eggs. Minus that time I bought it before nesting and got 1 egg.
Once when I forgot to nest a Christmas pair in time.
It has never been profitable.
