Spirals!! They're thin so you can wrap your arms around them, and they're long so they can envelop you with their tails! Best squeezing hugs!
What about female Pearlcatchers tho? Already in the perfect position for hugs!
They'd think you're not good enough for them, so that's out. Snappers, I'd say. They wouldn't say no to a hug.

Imperials, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind
or even notice somebody hugging their toes

Tundras for the soft, fluffy hug
Spirals for the "completely coil around you and give you a big ol' squeeze" hug
Skydancers for the emotional support hug
Nocturnes for the "wrap you up in their wings" hug
Pearlcatchers, the only dragons who seem to have normal arms that can actually give hugs

Challenge mode: Ridgeback hugs

Hugging Headcanons!

- Tundras are fluffy, friendly, and cozy. Perfect huggers, but they might smell a bit if their fur is dirty. They love to cuddle and form the best cuddlepiles
- Mirrors don't hug. Hug a Mirror and you'll probably just be enveloped in a very awkward arm circle. If you want to show affection to a Mirror, bump foreheads instead.
- Guardians love hugging! They're Big, so they cover whoever they are hugging with their wings and tail to protect them from danger!
- Faes are curious about hugging and definitely enjoy the warmth! They're soft even though a bit squicky and insect-like, and feel great to hug because you can wrap around them super easily
- Pearlcatchers are average huggers. They don't like hugging because you're not good enough, but will adapt to your customs. Like Mirrors, bumping foreheads (or pearls, to share your memories!) might be a better way to express your affection
- Ridgies love hugging a lot! unfortunately, they're spikey and not too nice to hug. If you find the right position to cuddle with them, you'll make them super happy, otherwise, expect a noot nudge to show affection!
- Snaps, much like Ridgies, love hugs but are a bit hard to hug, being so big but having small wings and short tails. If you just lean against them asa hug, they'll be quite content.
- Spirals are among the best huggers! Super friendly, thin so you can wrap your arms around them, super long so they can wrap themselves around you! Expect to be squeezed to death and maybe caught in an accidental knot, but don't mind them, they just love you.
- Bogsneaks don't really do hugs. They're too shy for that. They don't do physical contact much, period, but if you convinced one to hug you, it would probably just be slimey.
- Skydancers are hard to convince for a hug, but if you manage, they're hands down best huggers! They'll be soft and gentle, and their plumage will feel like heaven. They also love cuddling among themselves, even though they're a bit more hesitant to open up to outsiders.
- Nocturnes, much like Bogs, are hard to hug, and will probably only be slightly spikey. Don't hug the Nocs, don't touch the Nocs.
- Imps are also great huggers! They'll never say no to a hug, and even though they're hard to wrap your arms around, they're so big that they can envelop you withany part of their body, and it will be warm and protective!
- Coatls mildly dislike hugs because in Fire land hugs just make the heat even more unbearable; despite this, whenever they do hug, they do so with pleasure. You should totally hug a Coatl, they're soft and will probably make super cute chirping sounds.
- Wildclaws: see Mirrors. Awkward huggers. Can, if necessary, use their wings to hug, or let themselves be hugged. Maybe opt for nose bump instead?

Tundras are fluffy and precious, they're perfect for hugs!

Coatls are soft and feathery, hugging them would be just as adorable as hugging a Tundra!
