The ping list will allow me to notify you whenever I do one of a few things! [LIST=1] [*]When I write theory and lore related threads about FR, and they tend to go pretty indepth and really lengthy, but i try to have them be enjoyable to read. You'll be pinged whenever I make a new theory thread. [*]When I find a lore thread within the sea of general topics to be signal boosted so that you can find lore topics you like. [*]When I engage in a lore heavy conversation I will ping users every time a singifigent update (from my perspective) has been updated. Due to my absentmindedness and me being a human whom is judgmental, this is a grey zone. Antisipate a lot or few pings in this regard. Though it is nicer on the user it is still "off sight". I have a problem in the past where I let my play life get too rapped up in my work life and space. And though I can use a lot of my play from those days to help me in my job, it physically and mentally takes up a lot of space. I also get enjoyment from interacting with others, both the positive and negative side of things such as people asking to join or leave as an example. It gives me a chance to talk with others and help to see how I can make this little "plant" of mine grow. So long as everything is on this web sight too, everything can be [i]regulated[/i] through the mods and so forth. What's stopping someone deleting my whole ping list on a self editing one if they disagree with my theory for example? It's not the same setting as a hatchery for example. The type of topics I talk about often do get """heated""" or can be if someone strongly believes in something and I reject them. Given that the age requirement is only 13 or older as well, I can not in full and sound conscious just allow a different outlet in which someone can vent their disapproval to my ideas that would affect others whom are innocent in this equation. My gut tells me this because I was this young at one point, and I did a lot of stupid things, I'm sure we all did. To allow that to happen is unjust in my eyes.[/indent] •[b]There a reason why you are suddenly writing walls of text?[/b] [indent][u] Yes, and consider this little section as just a personal note from me to you dear reader. [/u] Even if my tone and typos imply that I am immature or do not take this seriously I do genially care for my readers and I go out of my way to put on a persona of near full edge of hyperactivity at times because it's a persona I can play [i]well[/i]. It hardly deviates away from my uncontrolled self. The articles that I write come from a pure passion for the well thought out sights lore, and the pinglist in it's current version and this very hub was never made for this in mind. [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/2299397/1] It was made because others asked me to, both publicly and privately after I made this post.[/url] The ping list in it's current usage is simply just to boost any lore topics that may not be getting a whole lot of traction, and in addition challange people's understanding of what they would consider "lore" to be. I'd rather have my readers question "how can this be lore" instead of "that can't be lore". Every topic that I use the ping list for [s](outside of some extreme situations or to attempt to rick roll everyone on April Fools)[/s] in my head I was able to find a way to connect to my own personal lore or a branch of possibility to other lore. Each new thread is added to my overall understanding of how both offical and interpretation lore is made, and I encourage others to take the time and wonder how an image of dragon eggs with matching human legs could be considered as "lore". And as of this writing I will be graduating soon with my bachelor's in illustrations. I actively look out for art history, science, and a wide variety of educational topics, and my overall goal in life is to entertain others. This very mentality I carry when I create my work. I do all of this for fun, and I hope you get enjoyment from what I do. But I also encourage argument, and having many critical eyes on me as I work. Just because something is made "for fun" does not neglect judgment and never should. I welcome you to challenge me and my ideas, so long as you attack me for my ideas in which we can a proper argument, instead of ad hominem attacks. I consider it part luck that I have such a following, and luck only comes from ones whom work for it…and I hardly felt like I worked a day on any of these lore posts.
