i've been saving some gems to complete my coli team and last time i checked the AH they were 400. now they're 500.

will i be able to save fast enough to catch up to the prices? probably not.

They've been hovering around 400-500g for a while. If the coli revamp increases eliminate drops or hell, even if they just add it to Mire and Crystal Pools, the prices will drop.

I bought most of mine three years ago at 150kt each, and that was awful then. They really do need to fix it.

I've heard something about the prices going up during Welcome Weeks, due to the influx of new players looking to buy elims. The price will probably drop back down a bit in a week or so, and more people will be coli-grinding during the festival, so the prices will probably drop a bit then, too.

@Sijax - honestly? No. Not unless they make Eliminates drop more often or the coli revamp means more dragons can get by without Eliminate. Yes, the prices go up during Welcome Weeks, and yes the coli revamp is probably driving the prices up as well, because the changes make it sound more attractive an endeavor and folks are likely testing the beta and preparing for it to go live. But there's always going to be more and more players coming in every month, and more and more players wanting Eliminates. Current drop rates aren't keeping up with demand.

And, ironically, one reason for that is needing different builds for different venues. Since you can't move stones, you need an Eliminate for every specialty build you have, whether it's a Ghostlight Anticitank, a Mire Flyer, a Workshop Worker, etc. If you coli a lot, chances are you need more stones. I think I have 21 Eliminate dragons and three spare stones, and you will pry those stones out of my cold, dead fingers--in other words, a lot of people who get the drops have no interest in selling.

Honestly I'd suggest waiting for an off week that isn't a fest week or a welcome week, and doing it before the beta goes live. And in the meantime, grind mid-lower venues. I've had excellent luck in Sandswept Delta, and you get Serthis Potions for Poi/Tox while you're at it--and you don't need L25s to grind there, either.

Good luck!

It's going to go down whenever we get a worthwhile neutral magic attack to match Eliminate, even if it doesn't refund the breath.

Since it's less expensive to make a mage than a physical fighter, it could be worth it.

I remember when Elims were like... cheap, no consequence in buying a dozen. Surprised to see they've gone up in price so much but then I don't keep up with things like that.

@Sopheroo - Of course, the neutral magic attack stone would have to have a better drop rate than Eliminate, or we'll just have TWO ridiculously overpriced stones.... XD

I'm cautiously hopeful regarding the change in rhythm the fixing of the first turn bug might bring...I've never tried the oft-mentioned Sedona build, but getting in an extra turn for reals might actually make it easier for non-Eliminate dergs to really compete as trainers. Eagerly awaiting the point at which stat rebalancing goes into testing! :D

I would be surprised if they incorporated an actual magic equivalent to Eliminate since the whole point of Eliminate is that it takes several turns to build up, and mages are much faster than physical attackers at building that breath, so if they miss and lose it, well, nbd, one or maybe two Meditate and you'd be back in business again.

That said, applications for mages in current Coli are pretty limited and it would be nice to have some more variety in overall abilities and potential battle stones.

@Serpenthyne Ikr? I was shocked when I came back to their current price

They won't go down unless more people acquire them or they become more common. Or someone buys some and undercuts everyone at a loss. I remember someone doing that with a diff item before?
