I've started writing bios and personalities for my perm dragons and I'm having a hard time finding reasons why they would be in my clan.

Before, my clan was a band of outlaws/criminals but I decided that was too boring so I've just been writing lore for each Dragon individually.

Outlaws in Plague territory makes sense.

But I now have an art loving hippy imperial and a tundra that wants to become an astronaut. The last place either of them would want to be is in the Wyrmwound so I'm looking for ideas/explanations.

More seriously, there's a few proper sciencefolk who settled on the edge of the Shrieking Wilds to study possible uses for its endemic species. The bulk of the clan (in lore, not in reality -- lots of background characters) forms a support framework for them. Most of the dragons actually in my lair are standouts here for some reason of their own.

This guy hangs around to provide the necromantic border defense.

This gal's a war criminal on the run who stopped here to make her stand.

She's here hunting down the war criminal, he's here because she is. This one hangs around for some protection against being dragged back to the psuedo-bioweapon that tampered with her body, while this one is slaved to it.

My progens met "fatefully" under an oak tree in the Zephyr Steppes, they make a clan, everyone nearby and their friend joins, chaos ensues, Noodledad intervenes and helps progens restart clan. Most dragons from old clan leave or whatever, new dergs come, boop.

i guess it kind of depends on what your idea of "hippy" and "astronaut" would be in the context of both Sornieth/Plague flight and with these two specifically lmao

My clan is an adventurer's guild of warriors, scholars, and ne'er-do-wells who quest for knowledge to bring back to the Arcanist's archives. The numerous flight reps in my lair can be explained as agents across different flights the the guild members can contact.

They come here because it's nice here and has friendly dragons.

Imperial, I like After's suggestion. Tundra, perhaps they want to see if they can simulate a Wyrmwound like environment in space?

My dragons are all experts in their fields, who originally came together in Lightning to form a working group with high productivity, but over time they decided they needed to find space to accomplish their goals with less pressure; Nightrun led them to the glacier he remembered from his hatchling days, and there they remain.
