So, here's the story: The Vault seems pointless and extremely annoying to me. Yet it exists. So, either I'm not using mine correctly, or it truly has no real purpose for me. But I don't know which of these is the case.

As I've said above, the Vault is annoying. I go through my hoard, selling items and converting food points, my fingers tapping over my touchscreen...when all of a sudden I accidentally hit something that sends my selected items to the Vault.

And then, I have to take the trouble to go into my Vault and remove those items, before carrying on with my hoard activities. It doesn't happen all of the time, and it isn't a very drawn-out process, but it happens often enough to aggravate me.

There is literally nothing else I use the Vault for, if you can call that using the Vault, so as far as I'm concerned, there is no reason it exists other than to be a thorn in my side.

Theoretically, it exists to help players store certain items in a safe place so they don't accidentally sell them, but I don't see myself needing this feature, personally. I pretty much know what I'm keeping vs. selling, and don't need a separate hoard space to keep it all straight.

But, I am a relatively new player, so maybe the Vault is something that could become more useful with time, as my item collection grows? Maybe. But I still don't really see myself ever using it, the way I play now.

So, all in all, if there's anyone out there who uses and loves the Vault and can't imagine playing FR without it, please convince me. Convert me into a Vault-user if you can. Please. Maybe there's something about it I'm just not seeing...

The vault helps me resist the urge to spend when I'm trying to save. It got me through several pages of lair expansions (I have the full 10 pages) and has helped me through many gene projects.

Vault = place to stuff all your awakened familiars so you don't have to search through all of them when you need to replace an awakened familiar with a new one to bond with.

It's good for me cause I won't hatch my eggs if they're in there. Also, money.

It's good for hoarders ^.

Personally I use it to store stuff I don't need like festival currency and more importantly to split more valuable items from average items. So I go down the Swipp Swapp/Baldwin lists and vault whatever materials/food etc. is used for them.

Saaaviiiings~ Also, I store already awakened familiars there, so I don't accidentally brew them, sicne you can't 'save' the familiars bestiary entry once you get rid of it.
