I tend to think along the lines of stolen eggs otherwise the idea of it being gifted by the gods is intriguing (especially since I have so many gen1's)

Mine's a combination of ideas.
Some eggs have been abandoned by their parents, no longer wanting them, or cannot simply keep them.
Sometimes they're stolen from an unsuspecting mother (depending which dragon), usually from a large nest.
Other times, the deity they come from simply creates them to be found by the clan, in a way.

They could also be created by a surge of magical energies, like the elemental magic of the area coalesces into an egg. This could be a natural phenomenon particular to Sornieth. Just another possibility.

I mostly regard them as eggs that were abandoned/part of destroyed nests when I talk about them in lore. Or I have them as hatchlings found at a very young age rather than the egg being found.
