I chose Arcane when I joined because it seemed cool, but now I'm thinking about switching to Light. How do you justify this in your storytelling/clans lore? Should I even switch? Does Light have good memes?

I left Light a year and a half ago, but they were cool when I was there! They're very well organized and welcoming but they'll probably have a pretty different community energy from Arcane, since Light is smaller and tends to be described as a more mature flight player-wise :). Doesn't mean they
won't have plenty of memes though, but I don't remember enough about it to say for sure
As for flight switching lore, I've personally switched from water to light to plague, so my progen began in water fighting to defend the sea from neighboring flights on a giant ship (I couldn't resist), but due to coming down with a chronic illness, he migrated to light in search of knowledge on the disease. When that didn't work, he moved to Plague for further research.
There's a lot of flexibility when it comes to flight lore though ^^ Maybe your clan sought to record the stars from the Light side of the continent, maybe they wanted to research the Hewn City, or perhaps there was an especially rare astral occurrence (like the blood moon eclipse that happened recently in rl) that just couldn't be viewed to its full extent from Arcane's territory. These all just came off the top of my head, so I'm sure you can come up with a lot more creative and interesting possibilities

I switched from Arcane to Light a year or so back. I knew I wanted a change in scenery, but like you wanted it to matter in the lore. So I had to stir up enough Drama to incentivize the move.
I basically had a dragon start spouting culty-rantings and there was this big conspiracy where he had a vision of a particular enlightenment--not bestowed by the gods, but rather anti-gods and paradigm shifting in nature. He had a following of many youth (since he was the clan teacher before he went mad) and a few warriors and kinda set out on his own pilgrimage to the Sunbeam Ruins to follow this idea.
The rest of the clan snuck after them to keep tabs on them, preparing to intervene in case something malevolent went down.
But when the clan arrived at the Ruins and intercepted the other group, apparently Lightfall had winked out of existence. Disappeared before their very eyes. It is believed that the Lightweaver sensed his hatred of the deities and took care of the situation in her own way.
So that's lore wise. Light lore is really really fun.
Uh, flight wise, I enjoy dom and having spare change. I'm not so sure about memes other than our constant use of glitter (which is true btw) and maybe calling out LW for finally admitting Imps weren't the best idea ever.
