TOPIC | Where are Py/Morph Prices Going?
As the title says, python and morph prices have dropped faster and much more than I thought they would, and its only been a couple weeks so the hype hasn't totally died down yet. Do you think they're going to continue to fall or is this where they're staying?
I expected that the drop rate would be insane, but judging from where the prices are they seem to be rare, but reasonable.

I think they'll level out at some point, similar to how most boss familiars level out. I don't expect them to go under say 200kt or so, though I could end up eating my words.

i imagine morph will settle around treasure gene level

python will prob go down to the higher level baldwin recipes. the wide range between poison and pinstripe

Eh, there are 35-40 on the AH atm even with the hype, though I guess when they go down to treasure level more people will start buying them. Depending on the drop rate and actual popularity (like, bogsneaks sold for thousands of gems when they were introduced but ended up unpopular in the end), they may go down lower than treasure genes.

they'll probably go down in treasure, as do all new things do. although i was quite happy when i bought morph bc i didn't feel like grinding for so long just to get the gene *-* so i guess 200g was good? at least that was the lah when i bought it.

I expected them to end up around the price of unhatched eggs (since they share equivalent drop rates), so I am not surprised to see Morph prices going for 200-250g already.

Python has been much slower to drop in price, but it is a primary gene and it is also a treasure gene that genuinely looks good on every breed and gender. So its popularity has kept its price higher than Morph. But I do expect Python's prices to drop as more players finish getting Python on dragons they want it on and then selling their extras.

Any item that is added permanently and is more or less available to everyone at all times (even if it involves RNG) will never remain rare forever. It'll be interesting to see how Python/Morph are doing in say half a year. Most players prefer to buy their dragons with their genes intact, and aside from G1 collectors and hatchery owners/dragon breeders there's not going to be many buyers for the scrolls once initial demand dies down and there's more Python/Morph breeding pairs available.
