I think the craze with these is kind of over, but I got a Shifting Kelpie mane today. (Other thread
here). I'm not sure what to do with it. For one it's rare and I might never get another, but I don't have any plans to use it. But it's a lot a treasure to buy one if I do ever need it. Should I just sell it for the treasure?

I'd keep it, but I tend to hoard apparel. If you sell it, make sure you check the gem price too. Good luck, whatever you choose.

Personally, I keep one of every apparel item for having's sake, and then if I don't have plans to use any extras I get, sell those. Never know when you'll bump into a dragon you do want one for.

I bought one off the AH, then immediately covered it with other apparel (avi dragon). They're pretty cool, but look good on only some breeds imo. I'd say sell.

I tend to hoard good, expensive apparel. If you don't see yourself using it ever, just sell it.
