I was wondering how people felt about it

I love it because it's quick, it's satisfying to grind with & it cuts through quickly when grinding, but it's also:
  • A little OP
  • Very expensive
  • It renders mages obsolete
  • It takes over all the methods of coli grinding (& Guides) til you feel you can't do a thing without it

What do you guys think? Should it be nerfed or made a little more common/less expensive? Or is it fine where it is?

I think Eliminate is fine, needs to be more common, and mages should have a magical equivalent.

I don't have a clue, do you? // Aberrant Cauldron Project
@Ysoth That's exactly what it needs! I hadn't thought of a magic equivalent but tbh if I could grind with a magic eliminate just as well you can bet that's where I'd be

I think its fine how it is. I don't buy or sell eliminates (need every one that drops for me for my many teams), but having ultra rare drops like that is fun and interesting imo. Though I was around when they were 40-50kt so I'm not like the unfortunate newbs who have to do a lot of work just to get 1, so I see where they're coming from when they wanna have the rarity decreased.

I would not be adverse to them doing something similar for mage builds though so we could have a little variety in the coli though.

@VENNY That's true! I love the surprise when something rare drops, and having it makes the coli fun ^^ Honestly I want to think of some user-based way to help newbies get hold of eliminates, that might ease up the problem I have with the price

I can see why people would want a magic equivalent but saying that eliminate renders mages obsolete is a little much, imo. I desperately need my mage if I want to grind in any venue over lvl 20, and I have 2 fully leveled glass canons with eliminate on them. She heals, she buffs, and she's got enough oomph to make boss familiars cake in every venue but the workshop. If anything, a good mage is a necessary component to any team that DOESN'T have eliminate. :k

I wouldn't say it renders mages useless if you have a good balance in your team for it. In higher levels, Eliminate is really the ONLY thing that'll get you through a battle in good enough time to make it worth it. It's only super OP if you only use the lower venues.

I've got two lvl 25 tanks (127 strength, 50-55 quickness, any extra points to vitality) with Eliminate and scratch (three berserk two ambush), and trust me when I say my mage is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY in higher levels. Especially between Ghostlight Ruins and the Golem Workshop.

It definitely doesn't render them obsolete, but they're not as necessary in lower levels with two tanks, so I have an extra slot for fodder levelling.

A good mage build I use to balance my Eliminate tanks is 127 Int, 50-55 quickness, and the rest in vitality. Three scholars and two Disciplines. My lvl 20 healer has an effect-elemental attack and Aid, and that keeps my tanks from death.

These builds help me crush through any venue, though the Golem Workshop is a little challenging. I legit only use two of the five stones my tanks have and three of my mage's five including meditate.
