Don't be salty or upset!
I only got the 1 scroll and familiar, and while I would LOVE primal eyes on a certain fire spiral in my lair... it's not the end of the world! I could welcome new dragons into my lair with these special eyes.
Maybe I'm being a little too optimistic, but real life is always more important than pixel dragons- so whatever reason you missed the anniversary don't be too upset.
I'm sure in a few weeks we'll get new ways to get more eyes anyways, or really new dragons with the rarer eyes for cheaper!

See, this is refreshing. I've been right on the verge of going back to just never looking at the forum at all the way I did my first few months here, it's just gotten so unpleasant lately. Thanks for being normal, and I hope things are okay with your sister now.

I missed a day and a half, tried all weekend to get my favorite dragon to match the lore aesthetic I want, and now I'm gonna have to live with the knowledge that my absolute favorite dragon is always going to be worse than he could be, and fixing him is always going to be an impossible goal.
Making my dragons the way I want them was honestly one of the few spots of joy I had after moving 1200 miles away from everything I've ever known and loved, and being put through the wringer before that. The entire point of a paper doll game like this is to be able to adjust aesthetics to your liking, and now my absolute favorite dragon is going to be worse than a replacement would be. And I can't replace him.
honestly I played FR for an escape from the feeling that my hard work and my goals could be snatched away from me at the last second no matter what I did, and now it's happening here too. I feel like I can't enjoy anything any more without getting stepped on, and it's such a small, petty little thing, but it's taken away an escape from a feeling that, in real life, threatens to crush me.
I don't get to enjoy anything any more without it being taken away from me and i have no idea what i'm going to do.

objectively worse than a replacement born later. I'm just so, so, so tired of things i value being undercut and i am so, so, so tired of real life in general pounding me into the dirt and this is just the corn filled cherry on the crap sundae.

Oh my gosh, thank you! Everyone's been soooo negative about this update, but the FR team is pretty good about listening to suggestions and seeing what the people want! ^^ This was a big thing for them, let them be happy about the anniversary for a while. I'm sure they'll work to make everything work out in the end. I only got a handful of the vials, but I'm just excited to see how the eyes play out for dragons in the future. It's hard to be mad with so many new customization possibilities! Plus, at least the glowing eyes are available in the gem marketplace. :D

Yup, I had a migraine all weekend. Managed to brew 3 of the scatters, and some very nice person gave me 1 more. Honestly, I don't care much for the eyes beyond sell value of hatchlings anyways. I've never really paid attention to dragon eyes myself.
