Not sure if anyone has done a proper comparison, but here's one I spent a little while whipping up.

Colour-wise, to me, the only real noticeable difference is Wind's eyes. However, there's now an inconsistency with the gradients of the eyes - all of them used to be dark at the top of the iris and light at the bottom, but now Plague, Light and Arcane are noticeably the other way round.
Really, the main difference I see is that the highlights are brighter, the shadows are not as dark, and the pupils are more distinct.

I can't even see any difference at all unless I zoom in except for plague

Lol the only difference is Wind and I can barely even see it. I don’t understand why this was a problem

BLACK LIVES MATTER
To me, they all appear to have small differences except for ice, which looks exactly the same for both
Edit: Nvm, I see it now. Yeah, they're all definitely different. I like some of the new ones, but some of the old ones look better imo

These changes don't look bad (except that gradient part maybe), but it is somewhat more noticeable on other breeds apart from baby Spirals! Like adult male SDs and I think some Coatls. Baby Spirals were already a big canvas eyes-wise, but the changes have resulted in some Shadows becoming much darker and Ices becoming clouded. And some dergs have seemingly lost their scleras entirely.
(Besides, how many people here have permababy Spirals?)

I can see notable differences in all of them except for ice.

You also have to remember that eyes were not actually consistent across all breeds in the old version. I mean, Water eyes on Guardian hatchlings looked like Shadow eyes, which shouldn't have been a thing. These discrepancies have been corrected in the update, and I'm very happy with this.
But yes... the differences between old eyes and common eyes are not terribly noticeable, imo.

You should do it with female bogsneak, the pupil completely disappeared!

I'm actually really happy with most of the new eyes, especially the Fae eyes. They look so vibrant to me. Just gorgeous.
I'm only a little sad about the Tundras, but I'm already pretty used to it. I scattered my two most important Tundras to get unusual and uncommon eyes for them, but I really like having the extra options.
To be honest, on the Spiral babies at least, the only difference I see is in the color of the Wind eyes. Looks yellower. Or lighter. Or something. I'm not a huge fan, but I'll live.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot the lady Bogs. I think the lack of pupil was an accident. I hope they fix it soon.
