What unexpected skills/quirks has Flight Rising given you that have nothing to do with the game?
For me, it’s flower identification for purple/blue flowers. I have a breeding pair in that range (go buy their babies currently for sale) and I’ve begun to name their children after flowers that look like them (and putting an image of their bio of the corresponding flower). I’ve spent far too long looking for just the right flower image for each child so I’ve become very good at recognizing flowers.

Color identification in general. I'm much better at knowing what different shades are called now! XD (Although not all FR names are IRL ones, so... oops)
I've also learned a bunch of economics stuff. And a LOT about setting up good google spreadsheets for shared projects!

It's helped grow my knowledge on Greek and (to an extent) Norse mythologies! Like I've alwayd been interested in them but since I like naming my dragons after mythologies, I've been reading up on them more.

It's been easier for me to identify colors and I like mythical creatures (particularly dragons) more. Also it's got me more interested in lore and different groups in games and elemental stuff. But those are just the positive side effects.
The negative side effects are that I lose a bit of sleep when I realize I bonded with ONLY SOME of my familiars instead of all of them, because it was 10:00 PM AT THE TIME AND I FORGOT TO BOND WITH FAMILIARS!
*ahem*
Yeah, that's basically it.
EDIT: Wait, they're supposed to be unexpected non-game-related quirks? Oh..

It's messed up my sleep schedule a bit, but it lets me catch up on youtube/shows while feeling productive in the coli

Somehow, I have gotten extremely good at recognizing constellations, and can now do full astrological charts.
