And when I did, this quote caught my eye. Railways? Do dragons have trains? If you think about it, flights like Fire and/or Lightning probably have a lot of the materials necessary to make railways and trains and stuff. this. i like this. and yes, trains could definitely be a possibility but they'd probably have to be run on magic instead of coal/oil/natural electricity because it's more powerful and dragons are helluva lot heavier than humans.

now imagine conductor dragons that are really powerful because they gotta work the train all the time. i love this.

AND if it's the 1920's that means they could possibly have something like planes. they wouldn't be good planes, but they would be planes. not like dragons need them, though.

and tanks. woah, imagine magically powered tanks? plus cannons and even machine guns? those could wreck.

but not just wartime stuff, amusement parks and such too. like Coney Island! i'd love to see a bunch of hatchlings on a huge ferris wheel having the time of their lives since they can't fly yet.

ok, i'm getting too carried away, i just love history so much

choo choo here comes the meme train

i'm sure trains could be a good source of transportation of goods from one clan to another though. especially for like in bulk.

I think our technology level in canon sorienth is like

Magical 1920s? So yeah, it's perfectly plausible for many things, like phones, boats, trains, and even tanks to exist. Even cars were a thing at this point.

dragon tanks. mmm.

Oh my gosh imagine a giant magical version of the train from Zootopia, with different cabins within cabins for differently-sized dragons. That’s a beautiful image as well.

@hyung, ahh man that sound awesome! Magic tanks? Amusement parks but with dragons? yes pLEASE

And, referencing google again, mini black-and-white films were first gaining ground in the 1890’s, and they got sound in like 1927. Does that mean.... our dragons could conceiveably go out to see movies? :0 I feel like they’d be able to utilize magic to advance that stuff probably faster than we did, too. Potentially......?

I mean, a possibility due to all that steampunk stuff. My first thought with rails and blacksmiths though was mine carts, since well, need that ore, but that's not that far off.

@Knickknacks

holy heck man that's a really good idea. i can already imagine all the different kinds of dragons helping on a movie set - light dragons helping with lighting (duh), wind dragons acting out the parts, lightning dragons manning the cameras...

and you know what else they could have?? submarines. that's right, submarines.
for all those ridgebacks that really wanna see what's in the ocean but still don't wanna touch the water

Dragons fly, but carrying stuff puts extra strain on them. We learned in the lorebooks that flying is treated pretty realistically in that is takes a lot of effort. Edgar was grounded for a month because of the effort it would take carrying goods without winds to aid his flight. When Fire and Lightning flights are transporting goods like metals, flying those loads is fairly unrealistic. Ground transportation would be much easier.

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
