@Xhaztol I think the thing that gets me, reading this, assuming those numbers are correct is this:

A level 1 dragon gets on average 1500T per level.
A level 25 dragon gets on average 480T per level.

I imagine that's not QUITE how the system computes it, but kind of a moot point when that's the end result. Leveling in the coliseum is a serious time investment though, at the very least, and it just seems to me like there's no drive to exalt leveled dragons when doing so means you actually get less of an average return. The auction house market prices don't really matter at that point.

@Xhaztol
I'd love to get some clarification on if leveled dragons do indeed offer more "exalting points"

I've heard that if you exalt a leveled dragon, it lends more to your Flight's dominance percentage than an unleveled dragon. Is this true or just rumory-myth?

Also, I love the new familiar icons you guys have xD

If not though, I really don't see the point until and unless lairs start getting just...completely grossly overcrowded.

More tired of my treatment team than the cancer at this point
I do kind of agree with this - it doesn't make exalting seem worth it at this point. Especially if you're stuck in conflict between wanting or needing the discounts from dominance for whatever reason, but also not really being able to afford to just drop tons of points on being able to exalt dragons. To a degree, the amount of money that needs to be spent on dragons to get dominance makes the rewards seem a little moot in some ways.

But I could just be confused by the system cause I barely do stuff with it.

This is why we need a preview of what we'll get for exalting a certain dragon in the confirmation box that pops up, so we know how much we'll get before the dragon is gone for good.

@Draven
I'm agreeing with this, I'd love to be able to see that added into the confirmation box so you can go "meh, this amount isn't worth it" and cancel the exalt.

For instance, there's no telling where dragon prices will be at in one month, or three, or six. It's possible, at some point, that leveling a dragon for exaltation (as you did) will be actually more lucrative than selling it on the auction house. It simply remains to be seen!
Actually, to get a dragon to level 25, you need to spend a fair bit to train them. Putting the normal element-specific battle stone one them x3 and a magical attack can sell for 2k. So 10k (not counting food required). I have been battling with my three dragons since the day the site opened, every day as frequently as I could given the lag my computer gets in the coli. My main dragon is level 15. Only 15, and how long does it take me to make 10k from puzzles? Well, with my tablet I can do an easy puzzle in two minutes. So... spend the time to level a dragon from level 1 to level 25. Or do 20 minutes of puzzles. And before you say that training in the Coli is reward itself and that training is lucrative by the loot rates, I can say that after getting 3 level 25 dragons, you'll always be better kitted to grind than if you had 2 25s and one straggler.

Am I the only one that does not want it to be worth more?

Am I the only one that's terrified every time I sell a dragon that my little one is just going to be sacced by some moneybags player instead of the newbie it was intended for, never to be used again?

This game is very, very unique in that there are no "unwanteds." There's no such thing as a "muddy dragon"
Per player, sure. Everyone's got that combo they don't like, but the game as a whole?

I have yet to see a dragon that someone said "ewww" to where someone else thought it was beautiful. Do please show me that dragon if you find it.

Because the game is random outcome in colors, there is always someone out there pining and praying that those exact colors on that exact gender exist on a dragon somewhere and they need it for their next breeding project and now it's gone from the game forever until a new one is randomized in.

I do not want saccing to be some attractive way of making money because I find saccing to be a terrible notion in the first place.

I don't think exalting should be a money maker, but 12k for a level 25 is ridiculous, especially since there is no transparency about this. We're never going to have a glut of level 25 dragons, or otherwise there is something wrong with the levelling mechanics.

This is actually disappointing to learn. I've never had much luck with the Auction House in any game, so my plan was to level unwanted hatchlings a bit and just exalt them for the money. I've been leveling my two mains in Harpy's Roost and the loot is horrible. It hardly drops, and when something (usually one thing) does drop it's an item that is obtained from lower level areas. In short, aside from my need to reach a level cap, I see no need at all to level a dragon to 25. It's a very time consuming process, and knowing the payout is a measly 12k

What a joke indeed.

I was really hoping a higher level dragon would reward gems along with treasure, but it's not even that!
