If the site as a whole figured out how to optimize the coli, I’m sure we can figure out this if we collaborate. It’s mechanically similar to Go, so looking into that might get you some relevant game theory.

I personally have been fiddling around until I get pretty symmetrical layouts and then only clicking tiles in a way that keeps the board symmetrical. Have you found any strategy, however vague, that helps you to win faster?

Definitely second the symmetrical thing! I don't know how but it works

@BezimiennyRaptor Yeah, that's happened to me a lot. If it's not the center, try clicking its mirror on the other side of the board so the board is symmetrical. On easy I think only horizontally symmetrical is possible but I've done a couple on medium and rotational symmetry is easier there.
IUfhseiugh I'd like to know how to beat it. I end up in easy with one piece and I have no idea how to get rid of it. One piece!
Driving me crazy!

In a world where you can be anything... Be nice.
Hmm. Well, I'm not super great at it, but here's the main things I've sussed out: 1. Seven tiles in a hexagonal arrangement is the most important shape. You can click the middle and get rid of them all. 2. It's easiest to pin down "enemy" tiles by using the edges of the board, because you don't need to make a full seven-hex pattern to get rid of the unwanted tiles. 3. There's multiple winning configurations on Easy mode and they're all easy to recognise once you've done it a few times. Like this one: 4. A lot of the times, winning seems to involve filling up the majority of the board with the "enemy" tiles then strategically converting them all in the last turn or two. As with the above example - most of the board is Light, until you click Light's middle tile and Shadow wins.

I somehow did the first level in 2 steps but DON'T ASK ME HOW I've been trying to figure that out myself....

Any strategy on the medium difficulty one would be fantastic!

@IntelligentWolf The strategy for all of them seems to be getting the board to certain win states, like what Charias shows a little up the thread for easy mode. With enough practice you can recognize and know how to respond to them. I've done like 3 games on medium? For that one, getting a pattern with rotational symmetry usually means you're close to the end. I know I also found a win state that's just a hexagon of one color surrounded by the rest, where you can click the middle of that hexagon.

@BezimiennyRaptor

Thank you. I actually just beat one!

Never was very good at Go. /sigh

I find it sometimes helps to step back and think 'what if I aim for the other colour from here?'

There's been a couple of times I've won when I thought I was horribly stuck from taking the other perspective.

Right, I've cracked the code for Easy! Okay, say you have one tile left, like so: (If your last tile isn't in a corner, it's usually pretty easy to manipulate them into corners. Just trial-and-error til you get there. Then you can win by doing this: First, click the bottom leftmost tile. That gives you this: Then click the middle leftmost tile, to get you this: Then click the middle topmost tile, to get this: Then you can click either of the two middle Light tiles, and ta da~ Of course this can be inverted depending on which corner your last tile is in! :D
