Hi! I haven't been on this website in a while, so i'm coming back after a long hiatus. I've been a proud member of the Plague flight for 3 years, but I feel like I need a change of scenery for my re-emergence. I also saw the whole new thing with all the cool eyes, so I figured i'll base my flight switch to whichever flight has the primal eyes I like best. This happens to be shadow flight!

I was all ready to go, but there's just one thing... Shadow flight, at least right now, is literally the bottom of the list in dominance. For some strange reason, a flight's consistent dominance position is important to me. Plague is rarely ever at the bottom, and almost constantly pushing for dom. Is this an exception, or does Shadow flight fall behind in dominance most of the time? Does shadow flight not care to push for dom?

Afaik, Shadow very rarely dom pushes. There's not much of a culture of profit exalting so they tend to sit lower down the rankings unless pushing.

Plague used to be very dom heavy, but has cooled a little in the last few months! They do still tend to sit around the upper-middle when not pushing though.

...we try every once in a while. But we're a huge and not very dominance-focused flight, so except for the rare big pushes, we're not really making much of a dent in the leaderboard. And I can't really see that changing in the future, so if dom is a big priority to you, you'd probably not be very happy here^^"

@Didact Shadow has a lot of new and cycling users, which means their exalted dragons to number of active lairs ratio is pretty low compared to smaller and slightly more stagnant flights (meaning lots of older users and less new ones, aka a good amount of money and a set dom culture). That keeps them further down on the list, although they're also a pretty friendly and not very pushy community to be in (and I'd assume one of the most active).

@DuskAwakening All true, except probably for the 'active' part. We tend to lurk in the... well, shadows. But when we come out, we're pretty nice.

i guess why they don't really get often to the top is the combo of biggest flight and not very dom-oriented community, like others have stated

Hi there! Quite the contrary shadow is in fact very active in DOM. It is true that we are a large flight which means it's more difficult for us to get into the higher ranks, but we hope that with more shadowlings joining our DOM efforts we'll be able to place higher more often.

While it might not be a lot compared to other flights we have placed 1st four times this year (so far)!! We have several pushes planned for the rest of the year, so if you want to join in on the DOM fun let me know and I can send you an invite to our discord server (if you have discord that is)

Hello! I am one of Shadow Dom organisers, perhaps I could help you too?

Right now we are preparing for our push next week! On the weeks that other flights push, we enjoy taking part in their events; art, raffles and PBs are very popular with our trainers, for example, this week's Light's PB and Foddart have excited a lot of Shadows. I personally would like to apologize to several Light's attendants for those several days when a lot of my fodder grew up at once - sorry, you can do the same to me next time!

Our preference towards taking part in other flights' events might be one of the reasons why, despite a lot of us being active participants in dom, you might not see the flight itself high at the board (we do the stealth dom :D)

Hey there shadow member here! Shadow does have a dom community and we have lots of dom related activities. However, because we're such a big flight, major things like conquests take a bit of time and effort to prepare as we gotta account for our own flight size

Conquests aside, we often have profit pushes and random days were we exalt certain levels very quickly for max profit! In fact we have some stuff on the table right now!

Well, actually, Shadow does do dom pushes. They just don't happen in the way EVERY OTHER HECKING FLIGHT DOES THEM. Plus, we are a big flight, and its harder to get a big push done.
