I don't need any for my outfits but I saw them going for like 300g on the auction house and I gotta wonder

cause they're so pretty

Because Light is Gucci and needs to be hella expensive.

The reason they are so much is because the light halos are one of the most versatile because of their color, so many people think they are pretty and want them. The problem is compounded by the fact that the people who really like them want many of them. It is also further compounded by the fact that it was the first halo and people didn't realize just how popular they were going to be.

Many people have stopped hoarding fest items in large quantities unless for personal use, because fest items haven't been selling as well in the past year or two. People have lots of explanations for this, but that's not the point. My point is, it turned out to be much more popular with fewer of them bought.

EDIT: Apparently I'm dull because I'm the only one that took it seriously >.<
