I see a lot of joke theories on where Tidelord went, but never any serious ones. From what I understand, the lore never said he disappeared, just that "he speaks no more."

According to BotE, there was a massive boom of magical energy in the Starfall Isles that made the jagged chalcedony crystals rise from the sea, so my theory is that the magic residue from that may have disoriented or disturbed him so much that he vanished willingly to recover from it.

Having just reread Hear Today, Gone Tomorrow, it doesn’t seem like the storm was only caused by the reversed wind in Wind’s story. Tidelord’s disappearance would disrupt the elemental energies of the ocean, and it’s my new theory that his disappearance might have happened at the same time if not before the storm happened.
The dragon in the story learns that Tidelord disappeared after the storm, but it isn’t clear if that’s just a coincidence or if the storm indeed caused it.
The chronology of it all is confusing, imho.
There isn’t a lot of information for us to have an idea of what did happen, other than that the elements across Sorneith surged.
I’m just as curious to find out, though!

I'm canonically saying that he's quite literally sulking- or at least something similar to it. He has seen all this chaos, and it has affecting his territory so much that he has become bitter over it and is refusing to associate with the deities- and by extension dragonkind.

Wasn't the twisting tornado storm the sea of thousand current in BOTE ? I think it destroy a lot of structures under water and tideLord end up stuck under them and can't get out . What if the Spiral keep get partially destroy so TideLord can't get out and his communication mean get cut off and no dragons can hear him anymore because of that ?

His account's profile picture is just bubbles though so to me that implies he's gone somewhere and not just staying silent.

Going off of this, maybe some deep sea chasms open up from the rearing of the Crystalspine Reaches and Tidelord either got sucked in, or went to go explore them... and maybe comes out with a new breed... ah though probably not.
Or maybe there's shade down in the earth/Sorienth or somethin
