Some familiars are just really prominent. Everyone remembers the KS and festival familiars, or the avatars worn by the mods/staff. Some of them are also just really iconic, like the beastclans, or most of the Training Fields familiars, as they are many people's first.
But then there are the ones that you see and you're all like, "oh, right, that thing exists."
I'll start off with a familiar pair I think is really forgettable:

Hahah, it'd probably be a good idea to take a look in the bestiary or something. Yknow, for the chance of seeing a familiar you forgot existed.

i forget them so much that i now sorta remember them for the reason of forgetting their existence
theres also plenty of non-coli/festival ones i forget the existence of easily
like for example, poking through my bestiary, i love these fellas and even drawn a pixely headshot of garden watcher at some point but i still forgot of their existence until now

The goblins that were part of the 2016-2017 fest cycle seem to get shunted to the side a lot. They are cycled familiars now, technically and haven't been the most popular since they came out, anyways.

The forgotten cave familiars are... easily forgotten. Ugly mushrooms and some aardvarks. I guess the bats are ok, but when's the last time you saw someone with a peacevine aardvark on their dragon?
Though [item=bramble guardian] takes the cake, in my opinion. Absolutely nothing about this thing stands out. The tooltip gives it even less lore than most random food items.

This is pretty much me. It took me a while to realize the peryton and stagwing familiars existed though, along with the Skira (not the new ones).
