I've been playing FR for 5 months now and i still have NO IDEA how people get a lot of gems in a day. The only methods I know that gives you gems are:
- The daily 1 gem thingamajig
- Chests
- Trading from other people (but I'm too anxious to socialize and i sometimes think I'm disturbing or something and i know, I know, it's ridiculous as buck)
I know you can sell stuff in the AH for gems but I have no idea how the prices work so can anyone tell me your methods for getting gems?

Well, you can buy them for real money at the "purchase Gems" just above marketplace.
I get my gems through chests and sometimes selling stuff on AH. I find the prices by looking the said item up first and see what other sell it for, and then put my own price around that.
The "right" price is purely what others want to pay for them, although something are more rare and people are willing to pay more for them :p

Trading is my main way. I'm a socially anxious mess too but luckily there's not much interaction involved. Just politely ask for the amount of gems you want and make sure you have enough treasure for it.
When there are dom battles going on I also make gems by selling levelled dragons to public buys.
