if we used the ghostlight ruins build instead of the mire flyer? why is the mire build the most popular vs ghostlight? ghostlight actually drops eliminates so it would pay itself back, mire notsomuch.

I find that the Mire is easier for me to grind (less physical attackers) and overall provides a faster leveling experience. I prefer being in the Ruins but the Mire has been most efficient for leveling fodder with the time I have.

sidenote: I don't use a specific build for any venue, just a personal thing I've tweaked to be a catch-all for any venue ^^

i might switch to Ghostlights, were it not for the fact that Ghostlights utterly hates me. XD i get dodges so much more often there than in the Mire to the point where it's punishing, and bosses every ten battles means i can't keep breath very long anyway. Mire's so much nicer in comparison that i'll take no Elims over the frustration of trying to struggle through Ghostlights lmao

that said, i haven't tried GL with dragons actually set up specifically for it, so i need to give that a go and see if it likes me any better then.

I've never found an Eliminate in the GR and don't expect to, but I prefer grinding there with my Ghostlight Anticitank because it just… feels safer, and I like the venue better.

That said, GR has way more physical attackers, especially in four-enemy packs, so it could potentially be way harder for a non-Anticitank trainer. Anticitanks reward getting hit (by physical or magical attacks, but physical is more likely); other builds, not so much, and you need to rely more heavily on your fodder soaking some of the damage.

This is all just speculation, though. I've seen people who love their Ghostbusters and Meditate Monks so it can't be that much harder than the Mire, right? (I don't know.)

The mire just seems easier for some reason. I used to grind and train there but I moved to GLR for eliminate drops and since then I've been blessed with at least two of them in the last month from there alone.

Honestly I don't know why the Mire is that popular. I'm always in Ghostlight Ruins and I can train 2 fodder at the same time while getting eggs and eliminates (I have got a few from there)

I typically train in GR solely because it drops Eliminate (I've gotten one), but it's a difficult venue because of the sheer number of physical attackers.

Mire has a higher exp/battle ratio, which makes training fodder quicker, and it guarantees more treasure, so it's a better way to go.

Elims, on the other hand, have a tiny drop rate to the point where even if you get one to drop every once a year, it still doesn't cover the money lost on slower grinding in the Ruins.

I love pings! Don't be afraid to ping me; I tend to miss a lot of replies, even if they're right after my own post, so please, please ping if you want me to see!

People used to level in the Kelp Beds before there were Mireflyers (or before they were popular)... personally I still go to the Kelp Beds because I don't have to wait for a specific mob to start leveling.

I think the Mire is more popular because it gives more exp, thus allowing for faster leveling. Though, Kelp Beds two-fodder trainers are steadily becoming more-and-more popular... (I'm training one myself, actually.)
