Figured I'd make a single thread where people could come and vent about any frustrations they're having with Night of the Nocturne shenanigans.

Coliseum RNG dropping you down a well? Come vent here, get it out of your system!

Opened a bunch of chests and got the same familiar a bajillion times in a row? Come vent here!

Hatching eggs only to get nothing but eyeburners? Vent here!

Etc. etc.

Personally, I'm getting frustrated with the coliseum. I've been on all day and have gotten ZERO chests. None. Nada. Zilch. It was the same last night, too. I don't know if my luck has just tanked or what, but this is pretty discouraging.

The thing is, I know if I vent about it, it'll make me feel better, so here I am. And hopefully here you are too. Get rid of your frustrations here by talking about it.

And remember: deep breaths. It'll be okay. Vent, rant, do what you need to, then try again. It'll be okay, and your luck will change. We have two weeks. It's gonna be alright. <3

I'm doing okay in the coli and opening chests but goddamn is the drop rate for gathering chests getting on my nerves. I've only gotten 2-3 each day when in years past I'd get waaaay more. Is it because I'm a higher level?? Is it just bad luck?? Or did they change the drop rates and not tell us?? Whatever it is, it's really irritating.

Ppl told me strange chests drop like crazy in the first few years . this year the drop rate for chests are very bad . This is my first NOTN and I can already say it's very bad . The rate for familairs are veyr high in the chests alreayd why they must have to lower drop rate of the chests themselves ? I don't understand . Do they enjoy seeing us suffer or something ?

today AND yesterday I pulled up 0 chests from 17 gathering turns and only 1 from the coliseum.. I'm a little sad as I really love the new familiars and apparel but from that one chest I opened I got a smirch.

...this thread popped up exactly when I needed it. Coli is just... frustrating me too. It's clear they DID something to the amount of chest drops or I wouldn't been seeing so many people slightly unhappy about it... including me. It's the worst NoTN (speaking for myself now) for me. It doesn't matter which coli venue I'm in, even if it was stated that higher venue monsters drop chests more. Nnnno. They don't. I see no point in even trying anymore :/ I suppose I'll have to buy the missing familiars from this year and the apparel that drops from those darned chests.

Haven't gotten a Strange chest in my 3 hours of grinding in the Woodland Path, and then switching to the Kelp Beds. And the ones I have gotten have only given me apparel, vistas, and familiars. -.-

Quite frustrated this NoTN.

this is my first Noc event so idk what to compare it too. I am feeling bad when all I get is mats and when i do get a chest its meh stuff. I finally got the new vista though so thats nice at least.

I like the sound of the older event when chests where plenty.

been trying to do a small challenge but am tempted to give up after only having reached arena and already having spent 1+ hour in four different venues with no chests or other drops (delta gave me absolutely nothing). at least i'll likely hit my chest goal tomorrow, but otherwise this has been entirely awful.

I've given up with chests, because *exhausted shrug* it's just not happening, 0 in gathering today, I've got 2 in 2 hours of grinding, and... meh.

All I want to know now is WHERE CAN I GET THEN GOSH-DARNED BUTTROCKS

It does seem like the drop rate has been nerfed quite a bit! I was rolling in chests previous years. I got nothing from gathering today, oof
