Alright, friends, listen up please!! Today is Valentine's day which is a day about love, more specifically; showing affection for those who you care about. If you're feeling sad or lonely because maybe you're not in a relationship or you don't have a significant other or for another reason, please remember that this day is also about love for your friends, your family, your pets, yourselves, and anyone else you care about! It's not just for couples --but of course, Happy Valentines to the lovely people out there who do have significant others!-- it's for the people you love and care for!!
So remember that lots of people care for you, okay? There is love in this world for you, and you're important and wanted and there's no need to fret because you are loved and cared for!
Important additions to this post!
There are people out there who do not seek any kind of romantic relationship and are not lonely or sad because of it.
I'm Aromantic, so I can back this up. Although, just as op said, it does not all have to be about romantic love. Go love your pets,( if you have any ) family members, friends, anything, really! I know how it can feel when you have people celebrating romantic relationships left and right, having hearts shoved down your throat, when you might not be interested in that.
Just know that there's absolutely nothing wrong with seeking something other than romantic love, platonic love is just as important, and there is no need to feel ashamed if you happen to be more focused on the platonic side of things.
Happy Valentines, everyone!
Thank you for listening to my little rave, please continue with your wonderfully love-filled day!

addition to this:
you don't need to be in a relationship to participate in valentine's, you can show love for friends and family, pets, even your fr dragons! valentine's isn't just about romantic love, like op said, it's about appreciating those that you care for.
