Do you get art/lore/whatever for your dragons?
Why? Why not?
I'm actually genuinely curious! There's a large portion that does, but there's also a lot of people who don't, so I want to see how 'common' it is and why.

Sometimes. It's a spur of the moment thing for me.

I write my own lore, so I wouldn't say I "get" it. I get art on occasion, but not as often as I'd like- I have trouble picking which artist, they're all so good!

Sometimes I get art, but it's mostly for my progens. Sometimes it's for my other dragons, but most of the time it isn't. It really just depends :P

Artwork but not lore.
I draw myself but like to purchase it from other artists as well. Writing lores too but they are quite terrible because I cannot write very well in narrative way.

Artwork yes, only pixel art generally. I don't know why I just started collecting it. Maybe because it has a solid theme? Like if I just bought any art I liked the look of it'd be a mishmash of styles in their bio, and some pieces I'd end up disliking.

I write my own lore but I totally buy other people's art skills. I do it for two reasons, I enjoy supporting other artists and I love the styles other people have. Since I have lore for my dragon I have an idea of their 'personalities' so I seek our artists that best capture that.

I've done a few by myself and I have a couple
commissioned and gifted pieces. I'd like to get more.
But then someone I commissioned has now been inactive for months so... I'm sorta scared that's gonna happen again ????

We don't very often. A lot of the time artists want payment up front and are very vague about how long it might take which makes us a bit uncomfortable so we just don't do it :D We get why, but just like artists don't want customers not paying, we wouldn't want the artist to go inactive or just not finish our art.
And we have very few dragons we love enough that aren't completely covered in apparel to spoil with pretty art.
