Accents are equippable items that can be worn like a coat of paint on top of the skin of your dragon. The look of the accent will not be passed onto offspring and may be unequipped at any time. (Designed by SCB.)

That depends, I prefer some of the pieces from the original sets, and some from Starsilk - you can take my fillets from my cold, dead hands.
I think both sets definitely have their place. On one of my Arcane dragons, though, I definitely want to give her starsilks instead, cause of the lore.

No. I like my silks plain and without the giant piles of stars.

Silks look a lot more classically elegant to me. While the star silks look nice, they are much more cutsey than elegant and grand, like the silk aesthetic. I think silk prices will go down, but they won't reach fodder level.

Both are pretty good, but I like old silks too. The new ones are good for more coverage and looks nice, I love the shawl, but it comes off as a bit cartoony, and the old silks are nice but look flatter
