So is it like approaching Summer or Winter in the Southern Icefields? Does Sornith's globe even follow those rules? Does the equator cut through Sornith the way it's positioned on the map or is it tilted across plague, water, and lightning territory.

Does Earth Territory have water in those canyons?

Do any of you have answers? (or more questions?)

@Rosesinger

Yes, it is tilted across Plague, Water, and Lightning. The Southern Icefield is in winter. And only Earthshaker knows whether there used to be water in the canyons, because if there was, there isn't now.

And if a silence filled the air do you think that anyone would even care? Would they be aware... of the mounting snow...
@DeathPhoenix Thank you for answering my Geography question.

I thought this was gonna be about how the shifting expanse is described as "the western desert" when it's on the bottom right side of the map

@Ragnarok42 I mean. That's a valid question. Are the directions reversed like the Edge Chronicles?

@Rosesinger
I have no idea. I honestly don't even remember where is said that, i just know that it was stated to be canon at some point.

@Ragnarok42

Huh the Southern Icefeild is. In fact in the South so I don't know what's going on with the Shifting Expanse

It is most definitely an eastern desert.

Maybe the planet of Sornieth is flipped relative to what we consider. Maybe the planet is upside down or spins reverse to Earth. Or maybe it was a typo. If Sornieth is a rather large conntinent, it seems like the Equator runs through the Dragonhome and Viridian Labyrinth. That would make most of the continent in the Southern Hemisphere. The Southern Icefield might be magnetic south rather than geographic too, which could make things weird. For clarification, a North needle on a Compass points geographically north. That would mean that either the compass' needle is actually south or that the magnetic north is actually south. Something like that at least, or so I've heard.

@Ragnarok42 Found it! It's in the tagline for Lightning territory on the current map. "The blistering western desert, manufactured by the Stormcatcher and his employees." I do think it's just a mistake though since the caption for the Carrion Canyon is "this great canyon carves the region in two, providing a natural defense for the clans that live among the mesas to the east" and the mesas are on the east side of the territory visually which means the entire area should be the eastern desert rather than western. The western desert thing will probably get yeeted with the map update haha. edit: found confirmation that it's a slip-up! The map was flipped multiple times and it appears that our directions became crossed! We'll certainly be correcting that!
@Lunarsnow
I think the "western desert" thing is probably just because the environment is clearly based on stereotypical old west american style deserts with all the mesas and cacti and i guess they were still thinking about that when they went to type the description in.
