Is this an old art issue, or they just don't...match? Some aren't super noticeable but...they are too?
@GalacticExplorer Right? I think its how the mantle's have smoother lines, but the colors are just off too. Even layering the cowl onto doesn't help

Definitely old art issue. The cowls are much older than the scarves, so there's that time difference. Maybe someday they'll revamp the cowls tho and make them match.

Yeah, the cowls and hoods are really old - I think they were there from site release - and have a lot of issues. They don't even all match each other, there's some weird issues with breeds that weren't present at the start of the site.
Despite being actually implemented last, the hood/cowl art for Bogsneaks actually matches other breeds.

Maybe they were thinking ahead, maybe they were trying really hard to match old art.
The art for Nocturnes and Coatls match each other but not other breeds. Also, Nocturnes don't have the black shadow/glowing eyes with the burlap color. You can just throw another hood on underneath so it's not a big deal to fix if you want that, at least.

I could have sworn that the staff had already commented and that they are two completely separate apparel pieces and were never meant to match but I have no clue how to find it now.

Hoods are some of the oldest apparel here, and it's been said old stuff will get updated looks as artists get sets finished, so maybe hoods will get some revamp at some point too.
