I was looking at the deities again and I remembered something...
Back when I first joined fr, I didn’t read the lore and kind of just guessed which flights the breeds belonged in. Obviously I know what flights they’re in now, but these are what I used to think back in my early days:
Earth- guardians (large and bulky like the earth shaker- I didn’t know snappers existed until I figured out how to use the scrying workshop whoops)
Light- faes (lots of fins, kind of skinny and spindly like the lighthouse)
Wind- imperials (long but not swirly like spirals- windsinger didn’t look swirly to me??)
Arcane- spirals (the arcanists tail kind of ends in a spiraling pattern like the spirals tails do)
Water- I couldn’t figure this one out but I assumed it would look similar to a
milotic for some reason?? So I just got frustrated because I couldn’t figure out the water breed.
Other flights- I had no idea
Did you guys think the breeds belonged in different flights when you first joined? I remember being really angry when I figured out where the breeds actually belonged a few weeks later.
EDIT: oh thank god im not alone in this.

Two years later and I still sometimes forget which breeds go to which flight. Spirals=Wind and Guardian=Water. Those are the only two I can always count on, lol

So I wasn't the only one, thank goodness.
I also used to think that Ridgebacks were from Plague (since they're spiky like Plaguebringer) and Mirrors were from Shadow (they just look a lot like Shadowbinder to me, especially the males).

This isn’t exactly misplacing breeds by flight, but I used to think that all breeds evolved from one breed of dragon depending on where they lived.

i used to think guardians were the plague breed because their fins, and they looked the most plague-ish to me

I thought Faes were from Water for the longest time because this image looks kinda water-y...? Plus, the fins.

And I might have thought Spirals were Light or something, but definitely not Wind
