After the intro of the ancient breeds the site is suddenly slower on any computer I use. I can't properly bond with my familiars anymore due to lag. Is it because of more users being suddenly online or are the ancients themselves to blame. lol

It's due to the traffic. It's been staying at around 5.7-6.3k users online for the past while now.

It's definitely the traffic. The servers are meant to only support a certain number, probably around 2,000. With triple that online right now, things will be a bit laggy. It'll die down in a couple days

Usually its about 3000 users online at any given time, its double, which would account for the severe lag. We already had a server migration a while ago - imagine if this was on the old servers. It should even out over the next few days. At least you're guaranteed two breed changes! :D
Yeah its really laggy cause of all the people online right now.
Right after maintenance finished there were almost 7000 people online and MAN i didn't think an entire website could slow down from traffic that much :P

The site for the last few months has peaked around 2-3k accounts logged in at a given time.
Today the most I've seen is around 7k
