Hey everyone. I'm just kind of curious about your preferences when it comes to the Gaoler genes. I know everybody has their own likes and dislikes. Therefore, I figured a thread should be available for discussing only Gaoler genes.

i love shardflank and gnarlhorns. the exclusive primaries and secondaries are a little underwhelming but i do like phantom and spirit.
i'm not a fan of scorpion either. i might still use it if i can find someone it looks good on, but i'd rather have shardflank or gnarlhorns.

I absolutely love Gnarlhorns, it's my absolute favorite Gaoler gene. Shaggy/Streak is nice, so are Phantom/Spirit. I think Scorpion is good on like, red/black combos or with the right colors! Wintercoat is really, really adorable!
Shardflank is cool, I don't hate it, but it's not my favorite. Weathered is also really nice, but in the wrong colors I'm not a fan.

I actually haven't seen a dragon that I really like Wintercoat on (lmk if you think you can change my mind because I really want to like it) so I think it must be a situation where you need very complementary colors for it to look okay.
Gnarlhorns look great almost always. I like Ghost and Tapir and Runes on them a lot. Cry/Face looks odd on their fur usually. Shardflank looks either really good or pretty meh depending on the tert color.

jaguar and thylacine looks so good imo,,, maybe not together though. breakup is really nice too
